Up date on Memphis, Sid and Gary Demory called race off at 8:30am . The Memphis crew continued to dry the track for a club race which started around 10:30am. We had a small window of no rain for 3 1/2 hours. We ran two Q heats on a dry track ,then a couple of drift car mains on a wet track. All you could do was laugh!!

Thanks go out to the Memphis crew for the fun time under such grave weather conditions. They didn't even charge us for the club race and they feed us lunch, it doesn't get any better then that!!!!!!!!!

They plan to reschedule TCS late May ,early June.

If any of you were at last years NorCal race you may remember our wall to wall carpeted pit area. Well we are going to build it again at this years HT fremont TCS and if you have a portable air conditioner to share we may have some room for you. YES Swifty you can bring the pole for our evening dances!

Thanks for the kind words Ray. We enjoyed having you. We are going to reschedule for June 14th. Tamiya will reopen the online registration a couple of weeks before the event. We hope to see most of the guys that had plans to come and didn't back and we hope Ray, Doc and co might come back and see us again.

Preferably after May 20th when I return to U.S. soil.

Fred - if you are reading this post, there can be a double shot Starbucks and possibly a cute Asian girl if I can sneak her through customs in it for a late May fun race !

That's what your bank account will say when the new M05 Pro is released!

Seriously, you should go to Omaha this weekend. Awesome drivers, indoor track, and you can round trip it for like $300 from LAX and crash on somebody's couch for the night.

Go. Have fun. Cheaper than a visit to your local Gentleman's Club.

I guess the MO5 would not be legal to run since the rules specify MO3 & MO4 chassis only. And to be honest I am not sure if the 5 would be any better?

Rest assured it will be worth the experience . Tamiya is always making things better for us suckers.. I mean racers to upgrade to. As I'm sure the new kit will reflect the rules change in both Mini and F1. They played us for fools to get the 15th anniversary just before the F104 is to be released. The new car looks very tunable and more like a real "12th scale" R/C. Question is will they include that Tamiya "spec." brushless motor and speedo to complete the package. At least I do not feel bad about the $235 sticker on it now that I know the tires are $70 a set.
