na ryan,i am no longer going to be chasing xray around.if they would just spend some time engineering the car, they would not need to spit out new cars every 6 months.there is obviously no time spent on the cars developement.they seem to be shooting from the hip lately with there new kits. The new car is nice but it will be the old kit in 6 months.by the time i buy a kit, design a chassis kit and test it,they will have a new car ready to launch.i refuse to get burnt again.i saw this coming but i actually thought that they would make improvements in performance and no just looks.oh well.

i have to say,the cyclone is one hell of a car.if i did not have a big project tieing me up right now i would really consider one.

The TAO5 is actually a very interesting car also.i am very impressed with the layout of it.unfortunately, again,i am going to be working on a very big project from BMI Racing that will be taking a huge step forward for us.i will keep you guys posted

Default Yea...

I don't blame you. I think Xray starting to get very greedy. Jason I would just pump out some bone stock chassis with your detail. If it's anything like the 05 people will need a replacement.

Default That's to bad though.

I very much like the wider upper deck on the BMI 05 chassis, better than the T2, but I like the easier wrenching changes on the T2.

thanks ryan.i just dont see what the deal is with changing the car.if they made improvements that would make it a better car, then i can see.all they seemed to do is make a slightly refined 05 and changed the geometry of all the parts to force people to buy a new car because you cant convert.look at what this does to all the hobby stores.they stock up on 05 kits and parts and now they are stuck.my LHS has 4 05's and a wall full of support for them.what does he do? if you ask me,this is bad for the hobby and i refuse to support it anymore.all these people who spent a ton of money to buy a new 05 and the car is dicontinued as soon as they get the car figured out.i just think its a joke.

i agree ryan, the bulkheads are a better design than the old ones.BRAVO!!!!!,they should have made that change on the 05 instead of just carrying over 1/12th touring car arms that were not made for this purpose.this is what i mean when i knock the lack of thought put into there kits.

I think that they did all the right things with the T2. Pesonally, however, I would have preferred to see Xray release the 05 later with those improvements.

i think they could have gone away from the whole arms mounting to the bulkhead routine.just think, when you take a shot to the walls and bust an arm, where do you think absorbs the impact.this will make it that much easier to tweak the car.they have the same tired old drivetrain and lowered the topdeck.i see they made it easier to access the diffs which is done on some cars out there already.if you ask me,all i see them really changing is lowering the top deck.same junky shocks, and chassis layout.this could have been a conversion to the existing car but they decided to stick it to there customers.there is not enough changed to warrant a new release.its a slightly changed version of what they have now.if they would have held off and not released the 05,then this would not be as much of a disappointment.instead, they release a new car every 6 months with minor changes made.i do not see the point and i really am surprised that alot more people cant see this.i dont mean to sound negative but i really cant see jumping on the bandwagon here.all things like this do is make me not want to run the products they produce.

Yes he does. He has 2 super dialed versions. One for Carpet and one for Asphalt. The asphalt chassis is a bit thinner and has cutouts in the chassis. Paul Wyn used it and was very successful at the '05 Roar Paved nats in Florida. I think he placed 3rd overall in modified.
