Default 05/bmi chassis rear shocks

I just got my car assembled (just got yet..yes I know..t2 is out...). The chassis looks great. (thanks Jason). I've got a question though, I'm using 28mm wheels so I've ground off the place on the rear arms (like directions say to) in order to mount the shocks so they do not rub the wheel. The problem is...it it feels like I have to push the shock in so far to actually get on the ball, (at the arm) that it's kinda binding. Did I take off too much material from the arm?

Thanks.

Acyrier:

Hi,

Welcome to the 05 club.........
as for your rear arms. if your lower mounts are new and a little tight you will feel a slight bind. I have cut a notch in 2 mm in a set of arms and everything is still free. also you can use the TC4 black ball stud and short ball cups in place of the stock XRay lower shock mounts. (no binding, way easier to work with, and you only have to take around .030 off the arm past the what the book tells you).

have fun racing your B.M.i./05. we love ours. if you need any setup help let me know.

Thanks

Default Mi2 chassis

Jason,

What is the price of the Mi2 chassis and flex deck?

On your web site you have the chassis listed for $109.00.
This probaly does not include the flex deck.

Could you hook me up with some prices for the Chassis, Flex deck,& Shock Towers?

Thanks,
E

Hello I just got my bmi chassis for my tc4 and was wondering if there is supposed to be some sort of a brace in the middle to connect the upper and lower decks. I se the holes are, and it seems there would be somthing there to hold to two together and not let it flex. Just wondering. any info anyone?

hey buddy,

the holes are for a brace that i have not finished yet.it will make it so you can add more rigidity if needed.i will have it ready shortly.it is for extreme high bite situations.

the siver standoffs go between the transmission housings and the top deck.the long screws go through the top deck and into the tranny housings.

I posted in the wanted forum. I am looking for a BMI front shock tower for a HPI Pro 4. In silver/titanium. BMI will not sell just one. I have to buy a whole kit to get one. Mine is broken.

Just got my new BMI TC3 chassis from the "new batch" that Jason made and all I can say is that it is a really great looking chassis (I have the older one also) - and it appears it might be a bit lighter - haven't weighed it yet.......The new graphite material that was used in this batch is fantastic looking (and we all know how well BMI stuff works on the track!!!!!!!)

Could anyone give me some help with an all around starting setup for a BMI TC3? I'm going to be racing it on a Skidnot surfaced track. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, TK
