Yes it works fine. Just set the ESC to brushed with reverse instead of high powered brush like I listed above. You should be good to go.

Hows indoor carpet racing in KC?

I lived there from '94-'99. Now back in MN. Would love to come back to race or tour the 'shop'. I have friends there I would like to see again, too.

No racing. I was married during those dark years, you get the picture. Free now, and my 10 yr old son and I have fallen in deep into RC. We've bashed for 3 years, this is our first season on indoor carpet. Have friends in Independence & Lexington, kind of close. Can't wait to visit!

Try #2..............

What are the dimensions of the very bottom of the Mamba ESC? Only the part that will sit on the chassis. Length and width.

I know the dimensions that are claimed, but I don't know if they include the overhanging circuit board or not.

Or

Will the esc fit behind the motor in a XXX-4? Actual experience please.

Thanks in advance.

I have a problem with my Mamba 25. I plug in the battery, turn on the switch, run the car, turn the switch off and the thing keeps going until I unplug the battery. Any ideas?

The switch just turns the power on/off to the receiver. To turn off power to the ESC you have to disconnect the battery.

So I might try unplugging the battery before turning the thing off?

So when you turn off the switch to the ESC the car actually keeps running and it is not just the leds of the esc still on?

Sorry to hikack...

I have a Mamba 25, my car 'runs' after I turn it off also. I need to unplug the batt to stop the car from running.

Is this normal?

Unfortunately I am not 100% sure. I will check when I get back to the office on Tuesday and report back. Unless Joe is trolling around and has some input on this.

But no I do not think this is correct, but not positive.

Default Mamba 25 Problem

Centerline Racing and Afro Puff

After checking yes this is the way it does work due to the capacitor still holding a charge. They reccommend not to turn off the switch but to disconnect it from the battery as the on/off. They also say that using the on/off switch messes up the radio/esc calibration.

Hope this helps.

Hey Crash,

Sometime while you are bored at work, could you measure the plastic case of the Mamba Max esc, I would like to know how wide it is. Thanks.
