I saw your profile on the Tamiya USA website here:

While I don't have any "technical" questions, yet, I would like to know how you became a team driver? Did Tamiya approach you, or do you submit a resume?

I'm not looking to become a team driver (I'm not anywhere near good enough), just curious as to how it happens.
Geppetto - I submitted my resume! As you have to do that with any other Team. But of course winning some races and or making yourself recognizable helps. Carry yourself well and speak well, I believe that counts just as much as being able to get around the track quickly.

Hope that helps

Hello,
thank you so much for help, I'll try carpet setup at end of the month during the Italian championship. Unfortunately it's seems impossible to find white spring out there.

I'll give you a feedback after the race. I'm not an expert because it only the third time I'm use a touring car and Tamiya too but I love it :-)

thanks

Check that the set screws in the mounts on the bulkheads are tightened equally. If its not that, and everything else measures the same, the bar is probably tweaked (need a new one)

Don't worry about the sway bar links being equal lengths. Most of the time the swaybar is bent and so you need to play with link lengths to get equal up play/travel.

Here is Tamiya springs in stock
http://www.planet-rc.ch/product_info...et-Onroad.html

Use Blue (rear) and White (front) on carpet.

If you go outside on asphalt, try the blue, sliver and gold HPI springs...

Indeed, have a look at sway bar setup thread on my site, as I ran through a method to use

Basically you need to adjust the link lengths. Best way I find of doing this is to set your droop to something like 6 or 5 on a gauge, then slide the same gauge under the arm and see at what value the arm lifts. Note the value, and do the same for the other side (and they will no doubt be different), and then adjust the links as per the guide to make it equal.

HiH

I like to drop the shocks off then hold one arm all the way and check the play on the other, then change sides. It's pretty easy to get them feeling the same, they'll never be 100% perfect anyway

rcmarket has 0.75mm HPI shims, you can get them in all sorts of colours too
