check your hingepin on the right side maybe it's bent hence giving the wrong toe angle on that side.

or check your rear upright, make sure you use 0deg...

Why does tamiya recommend the 44mm steel drive shafts in their description for the 416x? Don't they come with 44mm already?

They have the correct "plunge" for the blocks that most people seem to run.

If you run the 42mm in the front with the c blocks, it will work, but you will have issues with the spool breaking becuase the plungs is not deep enough.

I have not tried the 46mm ones in the front, not sure if they will bottom out, and cause binding in the suspension...

If you run longer ones in the rear, you will hit the diff screw....

46mm steel is what you want. I believe the car comes with 44mm alum.

Check your blocks too, if you've got a bent one, the toe will be out as well. Check em in all diretions (up/down and fore aft) by placing on a straight edge, and seeing if you can rock them/see daylight underneath.

you can use the separate type blocks. check few pages back and you'll see pics of the 416X with it. 416 and 416WE can use the separate blocks too.

What about the shims or spacer that we use on the block

i have the same question, seems that we have to simply use general spacers or the aluminium suspension arm spacers.

Try longer screws in the 1pc blocks if you're having problems with them bending. Or use 2pc blocks where you can.

Anybody know if Tamiya has released slotted shims for the 2pc blocks yet?

I use the stock shim on the inside screws and the equal thinkness washer on the outer screw. i.e. 0.5mm shim use a 0.5mm washer on outer screw, same thing for 1mm.

46mm steel on the front has no bind issues with the suspension.

i just used the 1mm spacers for the suspension arms

little bit of AW grease one them and they stick enough to get the screw threw

used to use 1mm rear and 0.5mm on the front block

i used the steel blocks all round 46mm front and the 44mm rear

no binding problems at all
