Tamiya TRF416 / TRF416WE / TRF416X
#8176

Its a tamiya specific gear but it is VERY close to 64 pitch and 64 pitch pinions work with it.
#8177

You can run which ever pitch you like or is easiest for you
to get
I run 48 pitch as all the hobby shop carry it here in oz
But I just had a look and it definetly comes with 64
But not to sure it would be to much use in stock

Senna I have all the stuff for 48 and would like to keep it as now it is more easier, i tried all the spurs I had here and they are too big what size you recomend that would fit the car?

What speedi and motor you running as it will help with a narrowing
a range
Also what size the track is
I'm currently running a 66/27 in 17.5 an and 75/25 in 10.5
But I'm geared for in feild and my tekin turbo takes care
of the straight

Have a look at gearchart.com I thing it is or if you and select
car type 416 then spurs ranging from 70-80 ish and pins. From
25-35 will give you a good idea
But again will depend on track size and layout

Ya sorry .4 is it
#8186

yeah it's 0.4 pitch..
it goes will with Yokomo 64DP pitch for my car. the ori spur is too soft and wears quick fast.

It's 0.4module as this is a metric standard for gears. Tamiya spurs last fine as long as your using 0.4mod pinions. I have a TA05 105T spur that's run two seasons of parking lot races in a 415MSXX, yet it's still quiet as a mouse. 64pitch is close, but not perfect, so increased wear is to be expected. If you want to use 64pitch pinions, then simply replace the spur as well...

i do agree the ori .4 spur & pinions are indeed quiet. however with harder spurs & pinion. there are slightly a bit more noise on both gears. i use both yokomo spur & pinions. that is only after the ori pinion & spurs worn out.
one thing is better durability..

Does anybody know where I can buy alu steering blocks, and Alu rear hubs for the 416we in the USA.

Just wanted to say hello first off to everyone since im new to this big forum. I recently purchased a trf416we and love it, I have found it to be very durable , easy to work on, and handles like a champ. I have been tuning it to my handling preferences for about a month now and i think i am quite done with my setup besides the fact that esc's brakes are very weak so i need a better esc. My one question i have today is in regards to how the back differential affects the cars handling on the turns and straight aways? For instance, if i run my Diff tighter how will my car perform? or if i run it more loose, how will it affect the car? I have it curently nice and smooth so it turns the rear on the opposite side of the tire im spinning but almost barely picking up the front tires. It will pick up the front tires barely like 1 outta 10 spins so its like normal loose i can say i dunno. Also i run on asphalt track, if that helps to know.
