If you look at the rules coming out of Japan TC-01 will not affect GT-pro spec. It will be allow in the other GT classes such as GT1 and GT2 just like the XV01. TCS in the US will carry on as usual.

No doubt it will carry on as usual. Sorry, I was only mentioning the Pro spec participation in my local TCS qualifying area. I assumed it would run in the other GT classes. I don't really look at the Japan rules as I most likely won't be racing there.

TC01 doesn't need its own class. It will mix with other chassis in GT classes (except double deckers) just fine. Body could be the main driver behind a class of its own.

Ahhh, memories. I still have the Taisan Nissan 350Z body sitting on a TA05 chassis on display at home with the GT-2 Best of Show plaque next to it.

My last lightweight NSX body I ran.

I know about the winner for certain classes get a free trip to Japan for the world championship. Can a hobbyist/racer from US attend the world championship event and pay out of own pocket? I see so many entries at the world event, majority are Japanese. Can someone share some info?

If you could pay to get in it would have been done already. To my knowledge it has not happened that way.

My perspective is the Japan Worlds from Japanese perspective is like the US nationals. Many repeat Japanese attendees at their worlds and foreigners are invite only.

Simular like US has invited Canadian champions. I raced in a few regional races in Canada, almost went to their nats. If I won the big Canadian prize it gets a little unsettling and I could not claim a trip to the US nats or special Canadian prizes. The only way I got in was talking to the race director. I would suppose you could try, it would be more difficult unless you were fluent in Japanese.

Yes! Is there, or is there not a race in Fresno this weekend?

I don't believe so considering all the things going on lately.

Correct sir ! Thank you for confirming.

Last time that chassis was run was 2018 TCS Nationals and Tony Tam finished second to Matt Allen with it. Last time I ran my TA07 was same Nats when I came second to Max Valles. Need to put them both up for sale since I pretty much just run nitro now. Will need to blow the dust of first. :-O

There is a race at Hobby Town Fresno this weekend but it is the tracks Summer Series race. Not a TCS race. They call it their "Summer Road Rage Series" and they are racing on Saturday 6-June.
