Translated from German Damn! I had my hopes up there for a minute. It was almost find of the day.

Y'know YankeeFan, you can always take the spacer out of the middle of the chassis to run short (210mm) wheelbase, as well. Many more body choices.

I just ordered a m-05 for myself and a m-03 for the girlfriend, so we can do some carpet racing. My only real question is will standard touring car shocks work with these. If not what what is a good and reasonably priced oil shock option.

You could get Tamiya 54000 (around $55) or 3Racing (around $25).

I got Tamiya's and like them a lot however they are kind of pricey...especially if you are buying them for two cars.

I asked this question a few posts back and got one vague (but decent) response.

So I went ahead and attempted to fit TC shocks on. And guess what? They fit. I used my old PRO-2 hpi setup I had. Put a 2mm spacer inside the shock body and used new Hot Bodies springs (pink front blue back) all around. I used these parts because it's what I had. Kind of made a Frankenstein m05 off of spare HPI/HB parts. Next in line will be to fit HB universals with the mini length bones on it. The HB universals fit... Already tested them. Just got to find a bone in the right length. And I'm gonna attempt to re-drill a front HB cyclone tower to fit my m05.

I'll post pics of the shocks when I get home

front and rear HPI pro2 shocks, HB springs (tc length) pink front, blue rear. 2mm spacer inside body, zero rebound, 25wt oil, bottom shock collar tightened to end.

I suggest you go to the attached link and read about the MO3. The shocks built this way will also work on the MO5.

I use 4mm of internal spacers on normal TC shocks for getting the car lower. The shocks need to be around 55-56mm in length. I forgot to add I only use the Tamiya short springs on my shocks.

The 3Racing carbon fibre shock tower works as well as the Tamiya offering. The main difference is the Tamiya shocktower is slightly wider and allows you to stand the shocks up as straight as a MO3. I always use the second outer hole.

For carpet racing the front shocktower makes the MO5 work better. Just my thoughts.

I dont really want to look through all of the bodies, or shorten the chassis. just with the rtr suzuki what are the three most popular bodies for it.
