Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question regarding springs. I should be running outdoor very soon and I just want to ''prepare" the car at home because I won't have much time on the day.
My question is : what springs is a good start for outdoor asphalt, medium traction, slightly bumpy track ? Running a 417 with 13.5 motor.
I know the HPI Silver/silver is a very common combo, but I can't find a second Silver set.
I currently own : 2 Tamiya Yellow; 4 Tamiya blue; 2 Tamiya White; 2 HPI Silver; 2 HPI pink and 2 HPI Gold.
What would be a good starting combo Front/Rear in you opinion ?

Thank you very much.

Silver/silver or ride red/red, both are readily available online. If you 100% have to run with what you've got go for pink/silver or silver/blue

Does someone have a good outdoor setup for 417?

I've run with 5.5T Boosted but the traction is low..

I use 2-piece suspension blocks in front and rear,cutted-motor mount and top deck.

If someone could help me would be very nice

Thanks,

Mate

Go on http://www.thard.co.uk or try Tamiya's TRF website http://teamtrf.com/ it has set-ups for carpet, asphalt, warm weather and cold weather tracks, etc, etc, you just have to consider what tires and inserts you'll be using, that should get you pointed in the right direction!
Just my 2$

Viktor's Gran Canaria set up should be a good starting point. Remember hole 3 on the 417X towers is hole 2 on the original 417 towers.
