I have been wondering this too, I see the instuctions shows the dot and where to drill. What I don't get is do you drill ALL the way through the cap or do you just drill depth until it hits a channel in the cap?

Yes, I do have pdf manual of V2 which shows how build that shock but my first thought was doesn't it make that part weak? So make a 1mm hole through or make the hole of some depth? I know that the second "theory" maybe sounds weird but...
EDIT: JayL desribed it nicely with the channel for the damper shaft.

I drilled mine all the way thru and wondering now what difference it will make?
my hole probably wasnt a 1mm hole if that matters..probably .5mm if that.

Here is my F104 Pro. As you can see I didn't mount my electronics like shown in the manual. I actually saw pics of RedBull's car and mounted all my electronics inline. I also stood my servo up, using a Kimbrough servo saver. Car is really fun to drive.
RedBull- If there is anything you can think of that needs improvement. Please let me know! I added a few ball stud washers to level out the arms, but not sure if there is anything else I'm missing.

How much shimming do you have under the mount? I have been running 4mm but just went to 5mm to try.
Rubber, asphalt

One thing I've never understood..
I noticed in skengines photo, some people mount the Shock inverted or up-side-down. Would someone please elaborate or explain the change or the difference in the rear performance?
