180 is perfect. Any time I use the throttle with my 4600 and 5700 MM motors in my touring cars I see 170-180. And that's with ambient temps at room temperature. I'm convinced these motors always get that hot when they are being used.

Other than the Max being a little large it works great and at least in offroad cars they fit easily. In touring I creative wiring and they fit in most cars. Works well in my MI3.

atleast it fits i got moungt it on an angle in the my ta05

If he told you to cut off the connectors and direct solder then no it should not void your warranty.

As for the shaft breaking yes that should be under warranty as well.

Kidding? I have a stutter problem. How can I do???

Just un-soldier the gold plated connectors that are supplied with the esc. And re-soldier the wires togeather. That will not void warranty I was told.

I just started to run the MM for brushed racing recently, and can honestly say that it has been off to a good start...

It is my understanding that removing the plugs, shortening the wires and directly soldering the wires together does not void the warranty.

But removal of the wires from the esc circuit board itself and re-soldering of wires to it does void the warranty.

Please stay tuned for a official response from Joe Ford.

You CAN remove the gold connectors and solder the wires directly together WITHIN warranty. ANY soldering done on the controller itself VOIDS THE WARRANTY.

when its time to get those wires changed, do u have to send it in for new wire? eventually i'll need to, when who knows. but its an interestin question. hope no1 would get cute and leave the last 1cm of wire onto the board, then do all their other work via new wire soldered there.

just curious because...

...the receiver line is 'tired' (from being run under the battery channel and out on these 2wd buggies). i'd like to replace it, i'm adept at doin so (childs play compared to converting futaba G speedos to futaba Js that i did as a young man), but if it voids me out....eck thats a spot.

thx

I can change them for you with no problems. I have changed all of mine so far and zero issues. You need a very good soldering iron to do it. It is easy if you have someone to heat the wire and the other to keep tension on them til it comes out.
