Rob, I'm the same way. Was talked into try'n one by a team driver Justin D. And couldn't believe how much smoother they was compared to my rs pro's. Make'n the switch myself now.

Rob - glad we got you going last night...

tcrain - nice to hear, enjoy

Guy - I will be at the track later to help you out with the gearing. I thought you were going to run 13.5? Either way, we'll get you smoking and hopefully move up a few spots.

Default Impressed!!!

Just got my 7.5 system yesterday for my 22T and just looking at everything and reading everything, I am very happy to have purchased a Viper system!!!!
Just wish Losi would pick the pace up some!! LOL!!! Anxious to run it and and let Tyler try it too. We may end up switching his 22B to Viper if these are as smooth as what everyone is saying. Looks like plenty of adjustments and the adjustments are explained in the instructions as to what it actually does in more detail than Tyler's Tekin system.

Great job on the products and will give my thoughts once I get it on track and flying!!

Default Frustrated!!!

I tried hooking my VTX10 up tonight. I solder everything up, plugged everything in (17.5 Viper), went to calibrate the remote and all the thing does is beeps after I set the brake. I can't for the life of me figure it out. I have a FM M11 with an Airtronics servo. Please tell me this is something stupid that I am over looking.

Thanks,

Tim

I can help you, can you answer these questions first.

1) When did you buy the esc and does it have the new A30 firmware?
2) Is your radio EPA at or above 100% for throttle? If not please set all the EPA on your radio to 100% and this is more critical for you since your using the older FM radio.

Just wanted to share that my viper powered Kyosho with a 10.5 motor and esc ran great again.
Went racing in doors last night with viper powered 2wd sc. Heats where great. Qual'ed 2nd in sc. SC main was one of the best ever with me and Mike checked out and was swapping places for 1st the hole 8 minutes. That you viper for a great smooth esc and motor...

Isn't that the one thing you don't want to happen?

By the way didn't get an answer on the Copperhead smoothness earlier. How smooth is it? Comparable to other sensorless systems, or better?

Thanks

cavg - I guess your are right, in one sense. Unfortunately, I haven't had my hands on a Copperhead system yet, Trey and everyone back in WA did the testing and development.

Guy - was doing pretty good last night - even though I never talked to him abou gearning. We were in the same qualifier, he was hauling pretty good.

Last night, I ran a boosted 17.5 in a 13.5 class. Had the third fastest lap time of the qualifiers - but couldn't put a whole race together. Wish it wasn't such a long drive home, I didn't stay for the mains. I ran smyka's set up from a few pages back geared at 72-30. If I could drive I might be dangerous.
