jc just released the "silent spurs". associated and kimbrough make the standard spurs, some say that the kimbrough spurs are better. some say that kimbrough and associated spurs are the same and that kimbrough makes associated's spurs.
for pinions, i havent had any issues fitting any type of pinion... losi, associated, rr, even a traxxas.

okay guys, do any of u think a non-timing esc(lrp sxx comp)original version with a 17.5 revtech trinity motor(geared low on the fdr of course compared to the d3 using dynamic timing) could keep up with say a boosted esc such as a stock spec sxx or a tekin rs using a trinity d3 17.5? i only ask this cause looking at the specs of the revtech, i find out that it has a higher than usual kv rating of 3000(compared to most other 17.5's that are around 2200kv and i here are better suited for dynamic timing than the revtech). so do u think i could be competive with the lrp/ revtech combo over the guys who run boosted? the track is 140-70 and is quite fast! dont need much bottom end punch to make any of the jumps! any help would be awesome, i just need help making up my mind

Hi,
Got my first buggy, a B4.1 FT, built.
* LRP SXX TC spec V2
* LRP X12 13.5 T motor
* XP DS1015 servo (which over here says it's from Thunder Tiger, and when you open the box up says it's from Ace RC.
)
* Sanwa/Airtronics MX-3X / RX451.
Feels very nice and responsive.
Quick question: what's going to break first, when I crash?

Depends on how you crash. I just broke a wing mount two weeks ago. Probably never break another one. I broke a caster block last week landing badly off a jump. I saw another guy snap the top off a shock tower crashing the same way. The front arms seem like they might be an obvious target but I have actually never broken one.
Gotta love the Mudvayne...

Hey guys, just traded a Losi strike roller for a rtr brushless version of a T4.1 roller!! I am putting my 17.5 Xcelorin brushless set up in it so my question is where should I start gearing wise? Thanks.

you should get ball cups and front shock tower and wings are always good to have spares of. spur gears sometimes

I only break when I am thrown in a wall/pipe now...

thanks Todd, thats with no timing on the esc right? if so that might be the way to go! i have two options on esc's to use, one being a lrp (sxx comp ver1) over two years old, and a rspro if i were to use advance timing in the esc. which route would u go, are u against dynamic timing, or does your stock class run a blinky mode over there? if u had the option of both, would u gear it to the moon with a sxx esc combo, or boost it using a rspro with a way higher fdr than what your running of course!

No way they will have such a greater high speed than you and get there a lot faster. If you are racing against ESC timing you need ESC timing at an event as big as the JC race. Sure you will beat some people but you will not be on pace with the top guys unless your totally sand bagging in the stock class you might have a chance at a top 5. I think your questions might be better suited elsewhere than the B4 thread. Just .02.

Question for those who went to the +8mm chassis.
Did you need to do a lot of adjustment to the suspension? ride height, camber, toe, shock oil etc?
My chassis will be here Wed and racing it on Friday with the new chassis

i personally had to retune most of everything, now the car drives much more stable.
