RX8 runs sensored(DUAL DRIVE), i don't have the mamba monster....
I do love castle(mamba max pro), but the RX8 is alil smaller, then the monster, i think???
I ran about 6packs yesterday with my setup, below(sig) &
the Novak didn't go over 120degrees and the RX8 didn't touch 130degrees.
The highest temps were on the last run.....

just my .02 cents, my setups are below

thx

thx Dgrob,
yes, i will just need to get better at it, i took out the SAVOX 1268hv
servo, taking off those same 6screws and the front belt cover,clicker,etc.....
-Think i should replace the nuts underneath those screws under the chassis with the blue alum??? I have all the replacement nuts for the truck, sticking with the kit screws though.

I also took of, hopefully, the minimal amount of screws to get the front diff out.....Going with 20K front instead of 5k.......5krear/20kfront......

I have the spectrum 3300 RX / DXRS, so i run a novak glithcbuster also...
ordered the rcshox 2stage&dual slipper disk

thx

Because nobody believes you bro. Seriously...I saw it and didn't want to spend a bunch of time looking for it so I could requote it.

My truck is so much better with straight A arms, I can't imagine what it's going to be like with the RPM pieces. It's bomb.

Can't you just loosen the 3mm screws on top of the case and move it L/R in lieu of using the subtrim? I have 40 or so of subtrim in mine, and it's absolutely zero problem.

just wondering, what is a better esc than my mamba max pro's? i have them in both of my trucks and they both are hard to dial in the way i want them to work. i use sensorless motors, sc401 in the 4x4 and a castle 4pole 4600 in the 2wd.

just picked up a barely used rx8 for a steal, now if towerhobbies would just send me my pro4 4600kv motor then i'd be happy

Craig,
not sure if u read my previous posts, but the screw going into the top of the servo, started to back out and looked alil bent....
So, i had to take it out, but IDK, can u do that????
Like i said, the owner said I shouldn't have any SUBTRIM at all,
he rides the DURANGO 4wd, tho...

So can u explain that better, for future reference in reseting the servo trim...

THX

I don't know how u can say anything is "better", but i like the MMP castle

I'm sure the Tekin RS pro is good, iv'e heard mixed reviews on the NOVAK esc's....
I just like the RX8 1/8th ESC in my SC10 4x4....

Gotta take a break from racing for a little while, we just brought home our newborn son tonight. So I gotta get my quick race info through you guys while I take care of my boy . I'd like to know how the rpm arms are working out...any difference or just piece of mind that the arms will stay straight? Are the 4-pole motors looking better than the 550 motors? Keep all the cool info coming!

Do you guys have any idea how to keep this truck from squirming around at high speed straight?

i went with Yellow springs in front and 20k diff fluid in front....
worked well.

-Because my track has such violent jumps now, i'm going with RED springs in rear....
Chassis was slamming hard after almost every jump.....

thx
