Default Gearing help

What gearing would you recommend running Rx8 and Tekin 4.5 on this high traction clay track?

Well, here is a few pics of my V1 inline stickpack conversion. Pretty happy with it but it hasn't been on the track yet so I have no impressions. Planning on getting it out there this weekend. Already have V2 working in my head, but it requires a little carbon fiber fab. We'll see how this goes first.

Just because guys are winning races with it, doesn't mean it's perfect. Certainly if you race on smooth, or flowing, or indoor tracks, or motor down, it's okay.

my mistake, meant have "not" tried the 3rd diff.....my bad

I race on many tracks , mostly indoor though ....

Pacific Shoot Out tours 5 indoor N/w facility's ...

Darn that sucks LOL. I JUST bought the chassis from you guys for the $99 price.

Anyway I can get a $10 coupon towards a future order?

Just noticed I was charged for shipping too when its supposed to be free? No option was available for free? Maybe something to look into on the site. Strange.

Anyway, looking forward to when the new inline saddle setup is available from you guys.

Start with 14/62 or 15/62 that should get you close to wear you need to be.

What pistons are you running? I typically like my cars a little on the soft side, I feel like I can push them harder, I don't like a car to feel stiff.

Yeah the guy I got this car from has it setup pretty stiff, I'll change the oil probably before I run it, although I'm going to a track that's like Porter, super smooth and clay, but much smaller. A little stiffer might be a good setup.

I am using rcshox.com dual stage pistons 1.1comp 1.2 rebound. They allow you to run a softer, more efficient suspension, it also seems to give you more turn in. You will see what I mean if you wheel my sc10 4x4, if you like a soft feel, these pistons are the shizzle. At Mikes i tend to keep the oils light, but go to stiffer swaybars.

The ae Heavy duty pads perform better than you give credit ....
Then I must have bought two bad packs. Yes, they were better than stock....but no matter what I did, I always ended up feeling saggy by the end of the mains.

No. If I turn my brake EPA up, I can lock up the front tires at WOT, skip the belt so hard the neighbor can hear it, and I've never lost a belt. However, my tunnels are still perfectly straight, I have a chassis brace installed, and the rest of my truck is in good shape.
Try tightening up the belt so it doesnt skip so much and do the WOT thing and see what happens.

Well, not having those handy...

I guess I'll try the 4x1.3's since I have those.

No worries! If your at the track, and you need 1.2 or 1.1 pistons, I shoud have some if you need them.

You gonna be there a day early to practice?

Ehh, at least he isn't like the fastlaps guy who got caught trying to act like a random member that "discovered this awesome new website" I'll post the link when I have time to found it, but Jang at Ulitmate RC busted him for it, and I did a google search and found the same post on pretty much every RC forum using a new member account.
