Hey ya'll, I've got an interesting problem with my 4x4. This started out of the blue, with the slipper cranked down all the way, it lets the front wheels roll a bit and makes the clicking noise when I hit the brakes. What could be the problem? I checked my belt tension, and even lowered my brake through he radio to soften the braking. This thing used to stop on a dime but now it rolls and the back wheels lock up, sometimes spinning me out. Any thoughts?

Have u checked the teeth on the clicker it self. Mine truck does click whwen applying brake from full speed for a second but that belt slippage is normal.

Then it's stripped out. Take it off and check the teeth for a nice sharp fit, in a good hit, it'll skip no matter what and round the teeth. People have CA'd the thing together saving themselves from waiting for parts when the truck was brandnew.

Good advice, I will check it as soon as I can. If that is the case, do you guys reccommend gluing it or getting a new clicker assembly?

Well, I will glue it for now and buy a new assembly for when I ever want to use it. I like the full time 4 wheel drive, so doubt I will ever run it with the clicker clicking.

New tekin pro4 4600kv motor just arrived, clutch basket and new slippers ordered, now just need the truck to turn up.
What pinion spur should I go with the pro4 4600 and tekin RX8?
Cheers

I have ran both a 14 and 15 tooth pinion and like the 14 tooth better. With this gearing and 80% current limiting the esc came off the track at 122 and the motor at 145. Oh and no one could touch me down the strait. This motor is stupid fast.

Try yellow in back inside hole on top and inside on arm. Run yellow fronts too. At the sc showdown in Dallas it required skill to not overshoot the doubles and end in the middle of the sweeper.
I wanted to try that today but didn't get a chance. I will get some yellows and give it a try for sure. I also feel my 3800 isnt keeping up with most of the guys at the track. I feel like I am racing a 2wd SC against 8th scale buddies. The other guys stop mid way up the face of a jump and then punch it and double or triple out. I have to hit it with a running go.

I'm running 13/62 with the 4600 and it's good but feels just a tad under-geared. I may try going up to a 14 or the 60 or 58 spur. Will try the spurs first as the $13 pinions sting the wallet a little.

Absolutely love this motor. Smooth as butter and more predictable than the 1410 I was running before.
