You know, I wasn't expecting much when I bought the Sidewinder/1410 combo (I bought it primarily for the motor) but I'll tell you...the thing's been bulletproof and so quick...best $100 I've spent in awhile!

Cheers,
Mike

Default BEST SET-UP FOR SC10 4X4 PROJECT

Don't have my kit yet (out of stock - Amain) but would like to know what would be the best diff and shock set-up...have no plans of racing.....kit would be a project with my daughter. My ECS/BL motor combo would be the SP SA Ver2 with SA Ver2 5.5R (550 motor) and 5000mah 3S1P 11.1V 40C hard case Lipo battery (which I know may have to modify the kit for it to fit).

Thanks for the quick response.

Well If you're just going to bash, the standard setup should be fine IMHO. Just be sure to read the first page of this post for tips, tricks and fixes for when you build it. Have fun bonding/building/driving..

stormerhobbies has them in stock right now if you don't want to wait for amain...........

The stock tires will be just fine to mess around with if your not racing, and just make sure to refill the front/rear diff's and shocks as well with whatever weight you like......... Also go easy on the throttle and braking for the first 10 packs or so because you may snap the belt very easily since it needs time for break-in...........

Front/rear swaybars
Tires (depending on track you race at)
Clutch Basket
Hi-torque slipper pads
Diff/shock oil
Shock springs (can buy the set or just the ones you want to run individually to save on money)
Trackstar o-rings
Factory team wheel hex's
And a very good servo that will lost a long time so you don't have to tear down the front just to change it out..........

The clutch basket helps to prevent the slipper from slipping to match and helps the slipper pads to last much longer, pm mactheknife on here he sells them........

The trackstar orings help to prevent leakage from the shocks, and the Factory team wheel hexes are just better then the stock and will help to prevent any binding issues.....

Porkchop if you are going to the Race Against Cancer I should have all that stuff listed on my truck if you would like to check it out.

Did you buy the AE for you to run or just something to mess around with?
