Monty, I have a brand new 421B that I got off a friend for real cheap. I was wondering what could be done to it to bring it more up to date. Would it be worth sending it to you to have it updated if possible. Right now it has a standard plug head in it and I would like to put a turbo head on it, and maybe change the crank and bearings out to the new stuff that is out if possible. Let me know what you think.

Thanks
Nick

one of the biggest improvements would be the carb then the front bearing , nothing wrong with standard plugs if the combustion chamber is reshaped

is it the 6 bolt head or 4 bolt head?

I wanted to run turbo plugs becasue the rest of my nova motors are running them. That was my main reason for it since I already have a stock pile of turbo plugs. As for the head bolts go I wanna say it is a 4 bolt, but I am not sure I dont have it in front of me and I just got it and wasnt paying attention to that. What about a silicon filled crank would that be possible for it?

ya on the silicone but that crank probably isnt drilled , you could go with a 15009 crank that is and you would see more gain

Cool thanks for all the info. What part number would I need for the Turbo head? What is part number for the updated carb. Or would it just be better to send it up to you to have everything done to it?

Thanks

Just wanted to give a shout out to Monty, although I'm not using Monty's engines I got to witness his customer service first hand this weekend and will tell you he goes above and beyond what should be expected from any company, absolutly first rate. I am in the learning stages of racing and prefer to do my own thing but could see myself becoming a cusomer in the future should I find myself in need of a crankshaft inducted two stroke internal cumbustion technition.

It has a fully cnc machined out of billet stock piston, the new carburetor , 17011 front bearing and a factory modified p/s set

as far as .28 size engines go it is a thoroughbred
