The Sticker Fell off from day one, the button are all goofy.
Not i have this large hole ... sadly i have to say:
I Hate the New Plastic LCD and LED Programmer Boxes.

I am Hunting down the Old Speed Passion Metal USB LCD Programmer.

But before i get my hands on one i wanted to know if its compatible.

The other question is: You state earlier in the threads that the 2.1EX is geared towards 1 cell and World GT Pancars.
I have been using mines in a Touring car 4WD 17.5t and 13.5t for like ever now, and the reason was space i needed the smaller heat sink compared to my 2.0GT and LPFs.
Yes...the 1st gen, metal one will work (I have that since day one and will never sell it), even the 2nd gen plastic one (not the current one, just change of material) will work.......the current version LCD....hmmm, I know, I know I know....and I totally know......

GT2.1 EX...because the small heatsink and no fan attached, we just cannot take the liability to say that it can handle 2S TC running open stock or whatever. The ESC itself is actually as powerful as the GT2 PRO. But GT2 has bigger heatsink to distribute heat, and powerful fan above....GT2.1EX don't.

I am sure someone can use GT2.1 EX for TC....probably running blinkly mode 13.5 ans slower or open stock 17.5 and slower.........however, just don't take my word for it. SP and myself is not going to take liability on this issue.

P.S...I ran my GT2.1 Prostock, OPEN 17.5 outdoor...without fan.

If you don't find anything good about 119MOD....try 323STOCK with 6.5 7.5 motors...your might be surprised

We have 323STOCK setup for stock and mod motor...

I downloaded the 508_No_Timing software, but I don't see a blinking light when I turn the ESC on. I have the GT 2.0 LPF (Carbon Black). It is not obvious where the light is. Where is the light located, so I can tell if it is set up correctly? Thanks.

Had a productive day today until the rains came. Was about 4th in quals in 2wd Mod buggy with SP 17.5 V3 at 10 deg timing max. I also had TQ in SC Open using same motor setup.
Here is the setup I'm using for both vehicles.
Note: I'm gearing the XXXSCT at 84/23

Yeah it’s hard to see, especially on the early ones with blacked out cases. One of the guys said he pulled a servo plug or two to get through tech. Made the light more visible, give it a try and see if it helps.

Thanks Dave, but I'm not sure what you mean. My case is blacked out and I remenber discussions about how hard the LEDs were to see to set up the ESC. They were never a concern as I always used the programing box. I looked up the instructions from Speed Passion, but my unit does not have the LEDs where the instructions show them as being. I'm trying to get this to work so I can run the ROAR regionals, which in my region require the blinking light for stock and pro stock. If I can't get it to work I'll probably skip the race as I don't want to buy a new ESC for one race. My only other option is to use an old Novak GTB I have, but I'm not sure how competative it would be.

Default speed passion gt 2.0 lpf

i got this esc and it says 5.5 brushless limit how ever i got a 4x4 sc10 and will it work with the weight of this truck along running a 550 size motor in a 5.5 turn? also what should i gear it and can i run timing on the esc as well thanks

also will the silver arrow 5.5 motor work with this esc and be ok also would it be torque enough along with speed? for my 4wd shortcourse?

I dont think the GT is designed for 5.5 Silver Arrow SC Motors. And the LPF even lesser at it. And running so close to its limit might be a bight dangerous.

GT Pro/LPF was designed for standard 540 BL motors.

But i think the GT Pro or LPF can handle a 540 inside that SC10 4x4 but i would got higher up in turn to gain Motor torque back.

Guys you need 1/8 stuff in those 4x4sc's, yeah you can get away with 1/10 stuff at times like on small indoor tracks but even the Manfactures say use 1/8 electronics. Just because the gt2.0 lpf says it can run 5.5t brushless motor doesnt mean a 5.5t 1/8 550 brushless motor and live long. Research it before you waste your moneys.

You’re right, that didn’t make any sense did it? I should have said the sensor plug, sorry.

JP, maybe you can add, it was Luke that told me last summer.

You are pushing it....you should get the GT2 PRO for the 4X4 SCT. All of our drivers are using the GT2 PRO over the LPR or Prospec because they are all running the bigger 550 type 5.5 motor. GT2 PRO is a garantee working unit.

I would not recommand silver arrow II 5.5 motor for the 4X4...it is ok for 2WD, but not the 4WD SCT.

We are suppose to have the new motor (550 1/8th type) coming for 4X4 SCT or 1/8th buggy....

All of our GT series ESC, the red/green blinking LED are located at the BOTTOM of the ESC circuit board. We have these ESC came out way beyond the no timing rule came out so we cannot relocate the whole design because of 1 rule (techically, it is not even a rule, it is a ROAR recommendation).

The GT series ESC should have a smoked color (1/2 clear) bottom case so the blinking red LED should be able to be seen from the bottom, or the side...

If you do have a solid black bottom case...your GT must be more then 2 years old.......I do have extra smoked color bottom case that I can send to you so you can replace the solid one...

One more thing...once you have updated to 508 no timing software, you must turn off the ESC, and recalibrate the radio in order to see the red blinking light....

David...thanks. So, you used the exact same setup for the SCT but different gearing..? Please advise...and I can post it on SP site.

Pretty much. For my Short Course XXX-Sct the only diff was I used Speed Power 55C 4600 batt, 84/23 gearing, oh and drag brake was set to 11. Timing on SP 17.5 V3 was max at 10 deg.

I'm going to play with a SP 13.5 using 323 Stock. Will post results...
