Offset is the same, I've measured both. (using the same hand even)

Sweet! Ordered a 2nd kit for a parts/backup rig just after my first shipped. I'm headed to a big race Memorial Day weekend and didn't want to be SOL if I broke a part I couldn't get locally in Spokane. My backorder status is showing "limited quantities" so hopefully they'll box one up for me.

For those running the Castle 1410, is the standard ESC that it comes with OK?

Based on what I've seen from people running that setup in the 2wd SC10's, the ESC is a basic sidewinder with a SC sticker, and they do get super hot. Haven't seen one melt down, but it runs a lot hotter than I'd like. Most people buy the setup, sell the sidewinder, and get an RS Pro or MMP

maybe I am doing this wrong but using the speed calculator the 5.5T 550 motor (3700Kv) and the gearing suggestion posted on the first page gives a top speed of about 27mph . When the other recommendations seem to get it in the mid thirties is that right?

For a new driver, what extra parts would you grab for breakage that will be my fault...

I'm thinking front and rear arms and front bumper. Anyting else likely to break with crappy driving and impacts?

Also does anyone know if i have trouble with my cc stc esc how i can return it for a MMP . Ive been told somewhere that castle will exchange it for $75.00 and your old SCT esc. Thanks ,Rick

Not true, the sidewinder sv2 and sct are superior to the old sidewinder. Still may be too hot for a 4x4. I'd consider a fan at the very least.

I was running the SCT SV2 in my Hyper 10 TT and had heat issues on the ESC using a 13t pinion. I don't recommend it for anything more then a 2wheel drive SCT. The motor is great, and I would still be running it if I had a Sensorless ESC There is a MMP SCT combo as well.http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...x_pro_sct.html
