The thick front diff fluid mellows out the truck quite a bit on high speed sweeping turns as well as allows you to be able to run a "bar" type tire in the front, such as Suburbs, Barcodes, etc. With the 10K front diff oil, the Suburbs would be extremely fast through the infield but way too aggressive in sweepers. So much that if you turned the wheel just a bit too far that the truck would want to spin out or traction roll. After I changed the fluid I could drive the truck harder into the sweepers without fear of it rolling or spinning, and then to make up the steering in the infield I switched to the more aggressive Suburb tire instead of Holeshots.

Over all I think it was a great change and I am super happy with how my truck handled in qualifying as well as even the main event!

excellent, thanks for clearing that up chris. learn something new everyday

The sad fact is that there are people that would probably buy it for that price as well, its like the sellers that mark up the flysky radio for around 70 bucks and the turnigy lipos for 60+......... I've actually thought about putting my sc10 4x4 on there and see what happens...........................

I run the 4.5 Orion in my FTSC10 on mmp. I don't think the motor will have the power your looking for! I run a 18t pinion and the big spur. It's super smooth power delivery and really fast on 2s 35c reedy. The esc/motor temps at 100f after 15min plus.
I probably wouldn't run it in a 4x4 though because I think it's more of a onroad motor. The only real way to know is try it out and temp check often.

I'm sure a rs pro would work but you would limit your self on gearing options to keep the heat down like a 9 tooth and then you would be slow. But with a rx8 you could pretty much gear to the moon and be fine!

Orion has an SC Combo set now http://www.teamorion.com/vortex-expe...ombo-en-2.html Which uses the 2800kv motor. SaladFork mentioned on the SCTEN Thread that is better with a 3s battery

Anyone have any idea what length servo extension is needed for the DS 1015 servo to use the receiver box.

Thanks for the feedback and for verifying the 60k diff in front Chris
Are you also using the same diff setup on indoor clay tracks?
I will be running my SC10 at WCRC (Indoor Clay) and Hot Rod Hobbies in Saugus (Outdoor Dirt).
I wanted to find out what would be the best setup for both tracks.
Hoping that 60k/5k would work for both tracks....
Also - What did you end up settling with for tires on both Indoor Clay and outdoor dirt tires?
Thanks again for the feedback Chris.....

Fawk! I guess I should have pre-ordered through somebody other han Amain. I called today and the girl there only confirmed the date their website shows. That does me no good for racing this weekend, dangit.

Has anyone (other than AE team driver) found the swaybar kits anywhere?

I wonder if you can adapt the sc10 swaybar to fit.

Nevermind, spoke too soon. Got home from work and saw that the backorders are in stock and ready to ship. Truck is now on its way.
