I have some videos in the works but still figuring out how best to put it on the site so that it is easy and pleasing for everyone.

I'm also looking at a way to allow registered users to upload videos and/or files.

Looks like it was meant for 1/4 or 1/5 scale?

My advice is to keep the box - I have mine pack full of spare goodies. It's a nice easy way of keeping all relevant things together when I go to the race track. Of course I also have my tool box with all my tools, oils, hudy, etc.

1/5th - something I can't get into - they sound like lawn mowers. After I had run my engine in on Sat, I was getting it up to temp at half throttle, when along came on of the 1/5th guys. He dissmisively said, "is that all its got!", no I said and gave it briefly WOT - he had to back off because of the noise
A lot of the 1/5th guys look down on the 1/10th and 1/8th - god knows why!!!

we had a few 1/5 th scales at our track and after one day they never came back , they were running almost 25 second laptimes while the 1/10 th and 1/8 th sclaes were running in the 16 and 17 seconds, and the 1/5 th scales do sound like lawn mowers!!

On Saturday I had to run with the 1/5th and it was pretty dangerous. We were taking alternate goes on the track with the 1/8th guys - those guys are too fast for me to mix it and therefore I prefered to run with the 1/5th. They were so slow through the left kink, that I nearly ran into the back of the each time through. I ended up running pretty slow times due to this.
Hopefully, if the weather is good tomorrow, I'll get the track to myself

Hi Guys,

If you've got a tyre truer and want to cut down some tyres which already are coned AND you wish to keep the cone angle the same, then here's what to do:

Measure the largest diameter of the tyre at the outside edge. Measure the smallest diameter of the tyre at the inside edge. Subtract the two and call this A.

Now measure the width between where you took the two measurements - not the width of the tyre, simply the distance between the two measured points. Call this B.

Now, go and get a scientific calculator (or use the one on your computer) Divide A by B and then press the "inv Tan" or "Tan -1" button. Divide the value by two and the resulting value is the cone angle. You can now set up you hudy with this angle and cut down your tyres to the desired diameter.

NOTE! When you've set the hudy up to cut at an angle, the diameter setting is no longer accurate - it's best to set the diameter 2 to 3mm larger than you want and then measure the tyres after they are cut. If they are too large then reduce the cutting diameter accordingly.

cool glad to here that I have few sets tat I ordered from http://www.kinetixrc.com/ an I hope to test them this weekend .The rims seem to be alot stronger than the ellegi's I was using.
