Turns out I was missing one of the 3mm screws in the Tekin kit. Nevertheless, they were too short to use with the Grid mount anyway. If you're using a Grid mount, I suggest you go get M3 x 10mm and M4 x 10mm screws and not use the Tekin hardware (except to install the fan).
As for the pinion, I'd just use Hot Bodies, as suggested by Grid and be done with it.
That way, if you're using the stock mount and upgrade to the Grid mount later, you can still use your pinions.

I posted in the Grid mount thread. I'm using Castle Mod 1 pinions. They are 12mm thick. Works perfectly.

How about an RC10B4 instead?

I bought a 6CH RC helicopter a couple of years ago. I couldn't get the hang of it. It sits on the shelf now. It was a nice EFlight heli too. $50+shipping and it's yours.
Man, I have too much stuff.

I've got the ti-turnbuckle set and just thought tonight that the steering arms will be too short. Right enough the turnbuckles are 42mm which is a good bit shorter than the steel ones. Any advice? And have you guys got them taper in or taper out?
Already got some M4x10 flathead hex for the Grid. Will i need M3 as well then?

And hell no, I don't know how to fly one. That's what real flight G5.5 is for.

Btw, what are these castle setups going for used? $225-$250. I've run about 10 packs through it. All 4S

Yeah, I was looking over at the RX8 thread and even Ty at tekin posted his wires are not soldered the way the others guys have said in here. His post is at http://www.rctech.net/forum/6493769-post5013.html Blade mentioned back in May his problem was due to wires that were too short. And Ty's conflicting post at http://www.rctech.net/forum/7354781-post7614.html

I'm hearing some bad stuff here....
Robinson Racing Mod 1 5mm 19T pinion.
Am I hearing right this isn't going to mesh right with a Tekin Motor?
