Haha! Just wait until he tries it...

If it makes you feel any better Gregg, the Tekin does use a hybrid sensored setup, much like the MMP. That made me feel a lot better about using the Tekin. I just wish they'd tweak their GUI (not to mention provide some documentation), and allow for one to adjust the per cell voltage cutoff for LiPo use. I don't mind switching from 4S to 6S manually using the mode buttons on the ESC, but requiring the user to go into the HotWire GUI in order to change the voltage (unless you're comfortable with the non-adjustable 3V/cell default LiPo cutoff voltage) is a real design turn off.

Well, I guess it's a good thing that I ordered a couple packs of Deans Wet Noodle wire! I'll do that as soon as I get the wire.

Gregg, was this at high RPM or low? The Tekin switches to sensorless operation at high RPMs (the hybrid sensored operation I referred to earlier). I'm not sure at what RPM it makes the switch, so I should do a little research.

I'm staying home from work today due to the weather, so I'm tinkering a bit here and there. I just installed the DE dirt shields, and while I'm not crazy about the looks, they fit perfect and will be very functional.

Also added velcro to the sides. Now the body feels much more secure.
Would you mind posting a link for these billy? Thanks..

I have heard your Texas weather is the cause of our incoming 12" of snow. Thanks!

You can also find them on A Main's web site. I ordered the front and rear skid plates direct, and bought the dirt shields from A Main when I ordered a bunch of other items. DE ships fast too.

Speaking of fast, I ordered a 206B and PS from EPBuddy on Saturday. Got a notice from the mailman yesterday that they attempted delivery, and I can go pick up the package from the post office today. Now that's FAST!

Yes it is possible to replace both ends. I have a tool called the bone saver that removes the pins and you can replace them with mugen pins. I do not recall finding the tool online anymore. I hear that hudy does have one also now.

I ordered my shields and skid plates from DE directly. Got them up here in Canada very quickly. They were a bit more money than from amain, but at least the money goes to the guys making them.

Quality is great. Just need to build my car - waiting for those darn new o-rings for the diffs...

The front ones do not get no where near the amount of dirt put on them as the rear does. I am not aware of anyone running them on the front.

That's the first I have heard of this one. I have been soldering mine the way in the picture mentioned for over two years and never had problems with the tabs going back.

Unless you're following someone closely. Bump draft anyone?

Thanks Jason... LOL

And Billy, I am referring to low RPMs, the MMM isnt as smooth on the jumps, I feel I could have more control if the throttle wasnt so notchy in the air.

And I dont know why you got the dirt shields Billy, you arent going to sling any dirt going up and down the street like a tennis match

i hated the lag my MMM had, say if you spin out a little it will not engage throttle for a sec, (which feels like an eternity when your one turn away from the lead) or you case a jump and it hesitates for a split second, i am much happier with the tekin
