The 9853 pipe works great in a truggy. I'm running a toro team in my buggy with the same pipe, but you might want to use the longer nova header in truggy, I geared my mbx6 up one tooth on a large track, from 13 to a 14 woooahhh. It was just perfect. Super powerband....

If you're at 3/4 gal yeah you'll still feel pinch. I just broke in my FMS, it has a 'lil more than 1 gal and it still has a slight pinch, keep heat cycling it and run it some more you'll be ok. your temps look ok.

Default please help

Recently i purchased a toro nero and it came with a novarossi pipe 9901 i think anyway i have this engine in my GS XUT truggy and no matter what i do i cant get to finish i 6 minute qualifier without running out of fuel it goes for like 5 minutes and thats it.
also it keeps wrecking clutch bearings within 15 minutes of run time and they are like bottom bearing is weled to the crankshaft .
this engine is really powerfull and absolutly flies but not sure what to do to get it better .
i know how to tune an engine reasnobly well and are stumped by it..
any help would be appreciated.
cheers

Hi Dave, I have this same engine (well the Team version) and I am also running the 9901 pipe with the 41029 manifold (Mugen version of the 41021) and running at 240 deg I am getting between 9-12 mins no problem. I am running a 1.0 clutch spring as with the 1.1 spring it was turning my clutch bell blue and killing my bearings also. On my MBX6 I am using the 13tooth clutch bell with the stock spur, be sure you are not running to crazy rich on the bottom as that would surely have you burning threw fuel like crazy.

decrease in runtime is more than likely a combination of your trucks fuel tank leaking out fuel and inefficient drivetrain and for the clutch bearings , hmmmmmmm i would highly doubt it has anything to do with the actual engine itself i personally have never had any issue of the such related to the engine .

and btw , i ran an FMS HT this weekend with 9853ss/41021 , 7mm restrictor , byrons gen2 prodriver , geared at 13/50 in my st-rr and all i can say is it was a handful in a fun way though and i won the race
