Just wanted to do a follow up with you guys on my Roma.

i replaced the rear bearing and the front, the rear bearing was definitely shot. Engine runs so much smoother now.
But...
One thing i have noticed now is that the piston head is tapping the button head, this came about when i fired up the engine and was hearing a pinging.

So from what i have gathered from reading
1.) no shims or not enough, All 3 stock ones are in place. is a solution to add one more?
2.) connecting rod has stretch and needs to be replaced? not sure how to check this.
3.) having the sleeve pinched fixes this?

Any help would be great.

Try factory shimming, check exploded view, others nova .21 always .8mm!

Fix what is critical then only move from there

It's currently at factory shim, .80.. What would cause the piston to lightly tap the button head... No sign of damage to the piston yet..

I'm using 2096/41021 n like it but it is paloma, 9901 will have more aggressive bottom, is the werks 2058 same as hope/orion 2058?

Yes the Werks and the Orion are the same pipe. I liked the 2058 on my Plus 4, but I never tried it with a different header.
The 2058 falls in between the 9901 and 2096. little softer on bottom then 9901 and not quite the top end of the 2096.

Here is a vid of a Virtus (similar 7 port Nova like Bonito) with 41001 and 2058. Looks like a STOUT combo and I would def run it just to give you an idea. With 41021 it would be less aggressive on bottom and smoother on bottom. 41001 more aggressive and more top end.

I dont know... I never run below a 7mm. Most of the time I run 8mm or 7.5

question for you nitro heads is it true you get more bottom end from a smaller venturri and just sacrifice more top power

or is going from small venturri to say an 7 or 8mm give overall more power from bottom right through to top end?
