Well after doing some looking around I'm having a hard time getting the RE12 before the weekend race, but I do have 2 options for this weekends big OCD race. Either a EFRA 2096 or a Works EFRA 2013. what characteristics would I get from those 2 pipes at least till I can order the RE12.

2096 has a smooth bottom end and strong mid to top, will allow you to lean you engine a little more on the top end and will get better run time. I prefer the 2096 to the 9901 because I like the smoother bottom end, doesn't break the tires loose and force a lose of forward traction. Buggy will just hook up and go.
the 2013 is a bottom end pipe. I never ran it on a nova engine.

Agree. I run that pipe with 2 different headers. Short for long flowing tracks, and the long for small tight tracks.

Also could try a 2058. Runs just about the same as the 2096.

Really? I just finally tried a 2058 on my modded P5, and was disappointed. I had had a 2045 on it before, and was expecting more power from the 2058. It seems to have a more abrupt low end, but if anything less top end than the 2045. Still need to test some though..

Clutch can definitely change the hit. If you're wanting more power, the 9901 is pretty good personally.

Have you ever tried the 2096? I like the 2096 on my TNS tuned Elite 5, but on a stock p5xlt it just chokes the life out of it in a truggy... buggy might be a little different.

I can see that. It did feel a little flat on the upper mid range and the top end. I wont say the 2096 woke it up, but did feel it was a little smoother in the transition from low to mid and mid to top seemed a little longer. Plus I was getting about 45-60 more seconds of run time on the 2096 with the 41021 header. The 41020 header on makes it feel about the same as the 2058...

I don't even race - just want something powerful and screamy.. Right now I have a JVD clutch on it(I think it's basically a first-gen type Werks clutch, I think now with 2x 1.0 and 1x 1.1.. Not sure though, might be all 1.1..), which does feel soft and limp. But still, for just bashing around, the 2045 seemed to have more top end and to scream better*. The 2058 to me has always seemed to somehow compress the mid-range and just get to top end really quick. Good for racing I guess, but at least on this P5 (actually a Beat B5) it felt initially underwhelming.

I think for 21's a P5 is just not going to compare to my two RB Fire 11's, which I really, REALLY like. They've got like 28-style power, but scream better and higher..

* The RB 2045 always came with two different headers, one normal, and one the bent style. What are the performance differences? I also have a 2087 I could try. Didn't get to it though due to rain... Thanks..

Well I took the Beat out and packed it up for if/when I get the buggy on a track. Took a Fire 11 out of the SC8 and put it in the buggy, and put a modded Nosram(Picco Evo 2/3) in the SC8. But now I have a quick question about modding. The same guy modded both my Beat and my Nosram. And from what I can tell, if anything the Nosram seems tamer than stock(I had a stock one before and loved it..) Does double balancing the crank, adding silicone, etc.. make an engine tamer? (I guess "smoother" is the more frequently used term...)

^^ yes when I get my engines done I ask for smooth power and better fuel mileage but it all depends on personal preference
