it says in your sig that AB (adam blevins) does your offroad engines

the tuning that i do accentuates the whole engine , i have not noticed any ill effects on tuning , low end or longevity and have had many happy customers , many are repeat , i guess i must be doing something right

The tuned FMS I received from Monty is the best running engine I've ever had and I've had many. It would probably run the same bone stock because it's a Novarossi but Monty's tune definitely didn't make it unreliable.

Hi Monty, I'd love to hear from you about my previous Q on which inserts fit the NR carb as the NR 6.0mm is out of stock in most places that ship overseas... Do the GRP ones fit? Reedy ones? Any idea? Thanks

I also got my hands on a N21BF (great little mill, was on sale at my LHS, couldn't resist as I had run one previously in an endurance race at it was really really perfect for my driving skills, not to mention runtime and clutch/tyre wear)... and I don't run turbo plugs on my +4, so basically I have a spare turbo insert... Any advantage in installing on my N21 as I have a crapload of Odo 97T in stock?

Thanks for the help Paul

Hi.

The Scandinavian Novarossi distributor (northtq.com) has 2! of those 6 mm inserts in stock. I'm going to buy 1 of them, and can buy and send the last to you.

Hi Monty,

I do not know if you remember me. Rick from Roswell, Ga. I bought a Plus 21-4C and a 9901SS pipe/41021 header set from you several months ago. I have finally gotten it broken in and working on a "race tune". I have tuning question. The bottom seems to lack snap and the top seems to fade to soon. That pipe set should give me solid bottom performance? It appears to be rich. When I lean the HSN the temps jump and the performance drops. Can you give me base line needle settings for a "race tune"? Currently I am running the HSN at 3.50 from flush and the LSN 5.25 from flush. I am thinking the LSN is too rich. What is a good temp for the 21-4C. I also notice the the tip of the LSN appears to be bent ever so slightly. Will that have a big effect performance? I am aware that when adjusting the LSN the slide needs to be completely open or it will damage the needle. Thanks again for you help!

4.25 on low and around 3.5 on high , your carb balnce is way off . try a 6mm restrictor in buggy

I have a fms and +4 that are just now breaking in. What shims should I be running with Byrons 30%? What do you think about the Pro Driver fuel with 9% oil? I have been running the race gen2 so far but one of the local hobby shops only stocks the pro driver.
Thanks,
Rick
