P5xlt "HT" = great bottom end grunt with awesome powerband
Plus4C = smooth bottom with linear feel
Imo the p5 is better suited for a truggy and the plus4 is better suited for buggy
You can tune either with a few pipe selections that work very good on novarossi engines that have been posted before .

what do you think my opinion will be?? i took the all mighty Plus-4 and used your P5 for my serious races (buggy)
i think its a very powerfull engine in all ranges. maybe a bit too powerfull for buggies but it suites my driving style. am kind of a very very agressive driver and really needs all the power available.
i love how its snaps from the bottom and how fast the car is in the straight line. very reliable and easy to tune with the 97T plug.
Pipes play a big rule also, you can play around with the power band depending on the pipe you use.
around 3 gallons already and the pinch is still there, i only replaced the front bearing to the 17011 one just to make sure it will spin better and longer

am i getting another one for this year's WC?? Hell yeah i will

other mates who are running the H.E.S P5 are very pleased with their engines and asking me when to place the next order

cheers Monty

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a new buggy engine for this season. This will be my third year "racing" buggies. I have learned a lot. I know it is more than having just a powerful engine. Chassis set up, clutch set up, tuning, and maybe even the driver! The fastest buggy down the back straight will not win races. It sure is fun though. Price is not necessarily a determining factor for me. Quality, reliability, availability of parts, and drivability. My first engine was a RB WS7 III. Last year I bought a Trinity and a OS V-Spec. I was not impressed with the quality or the customer support with the Trinity and I thought the OS was hard to drive. Maybe it did not suit my driving style. I finished last year with my original RB. I love the smooth linear power delivery. It could use a little more low end. I am very familiar with Novarossi but have never owned one. I know they are legendary when it come to quality, service life . I am not familiar with the product line and the personality of each model. I would love to hear any suggestion from you "Novarossi guys". Because I like the power delivery on the WS7 III and the reliability, right now I am considering a RB WS9. This is a "square stroke" engine which seem to be falling out of favor in new designs. The most challenging thing appears to be availability of Novarossi and RB. One of the reasons I am considering the RB is it is available right now. One minute they are available the next they are backordered everywhere.

21-plus4 paired with a NR 9901 and a NR 41021 header is a buttery smooth combo with amazing runtime and a almost electric feel its soooooo smooth......JMO...the 9901/41021 is THE pipeset for buggy if you want linear capabilities. Also......the pipeset has plenty of all the ranges as well.....it suited my driving to the T.

Well I'm running the H.E.S. P5 in an RC8B. Would the 9901SS be better than the 9853SS? I have the 41005 header. Right now I'm fighting wheel spin coming out of corners. I just dont have the throttle control yet to get it right. Sometimes i do, sometimes i dont. With the 9853SS pipe in buggy the motor hauls A. Or would going from the stock 8mm restrictor to a 7mm make that much difference?

How do you like the engine

Its what i wanted, and asolute beast. Sounds good too
makes all the straits too short real fast.
now that i have a fast motor, i can work on a fast buggy setup.
You got any 6.5; 6.0 restrictors in stock? price plx
