Hey Malik, I just checked out the MMods O rings - they look good. I went to the fuel tubing because the factory O rings kept drying out. Ended up with a blockage from all the shredded rubber sludge off the O rings blocking the needle jet. As far as size of tubing goes, I just get the standard tubing from my local hobby shop, I am guessing it is the thinner of the two sizes. I find it works really well, and gives a nice ¨tension¨ to the needles so they are easily adjusted but not too tight.

In a nutshell -

3 Port - good all round motor. Smooth linear power curve. Nice buggy motor.

5 Port - Massive bottom end, good mid and top end. Best suited to truggy in standard form (modded motors can be made a bit smoother on the bottom)

7 Port - Good bottom end, great mid and massive top end. Great buggy motor.

Pipes

3 Port - GO 0801 or Dynamite 086
5 Port - GO 0801 or Dynamite 086 (2047 with long header on long open track)
7 Port - GO 0801 or Dynamite 053 (2047 with long header is very nice)

Check out the new GO 2072 pipe just released. This should work very nicely on all the engines, particularly the 7 Port. It is ¨basically¨ a top end (2047) pipe with a longer style (0801) header, plus it has a few more things going on to bring the best out in the GO range of motors. Can´'t wait to get my hands on one

Thanks for the link. I gave the fuel tubing a shot and all seems well for now. I will get some o-rings just in case. I don't like the debris from the o-rings messing up my fuel flow either. That is what led me to take them out and check them.

No mate. The silicone doesnt seem to need any lubricant. I guess a little bit of fuel that gets up into the O ring area keeps it moist, rather than drying it out like the normal O rings.
I will check out those MMods O ring kits myself though. Pretty swish

YIKES Thats the first time I have heard of that happening. How and when did it happen, ie during a race or while the engine was out of the car etc etc.

Going on what you have said about your track I would lean toward the 7 Port with 0801 pipe (which comes in the combo kit). Use 1.1 clutch springs with 2 x alloy and 1 x carbon shoe. That will give you ample bottom end, plus awesome top end should you run at a longer more open track sometimes. I am a bit biased toward the 7 Port, as I reckon it is one of the best buggy motors out there, and sometimes overlooked in the GO range by a lot of people. It has a nice power band for a buggy. Plenty of low end grunt, and a mid and top end that will match anything out there. I haven't seen many, if any big $ motors pull away from a GO 7 Port in full song
Value for money, you can't beat it.

Yeah the 7 is a beast but i feel if you dont have super long straights you really dont need it. I like it alot but dont need it where I am at UNFORTUNETLY, a 5 port will be very abrupt on bottum but if you had it modded to smooth it out for buggy its the bomb and the 3 port race will get the job done too.

Mattwoodcraft i run a 3 port .21 race go engine and it is hands down my favorite motor. it runs very smooth and works well with the go 0801 pipe and dynamite 086 pipe. i have not tried a 7 port go yet and ive been racing go engines for almost 2 full years now. ive always ran the 5 port .21 go engines because they worked well in my truggy and buggy. im now sporting the new ebm5 .21 5 port go engine in truggy. very very fun in truggy has tons of power. i would say go with the 3 port race and you wont be disappointed at all if you get one of the 2 pipes i suggested and it will be a power monster.
