Sup guys, I have a question because I just purchased a Go .21 5PT Combo kit and going to start the breakin this weekend.
Anyway, my friend has the same engine and after breakin his engine is running around 260F-285F degrees with good blue smoke coming from the pipe !
I live in Puerto Rico and it never drops below 70F deg even on cloudy winter days.
His setup is this: Go .21 5PT, OS P3 plug, Maxy's 20% race fuel.
If we try to tune for lower temps it bogs and doesn't want to rev, and at the temps mention it screams with good smoke comming from pipe .
does this sound ok ?

sounds good to me. tune for performance and smoke.
if you have a trail of smoke and no performance issues like lean bogging then you are good.
keep a clean air filter on and you will get gallons and gallons of enjoyment!

I had full intentions of racing the GO engines and am grateful for Russell's support, however the Reedy engines are available to team drivers and I have an obligation to run them. Chris and I always do/and will pit together at the worlds, and I wish him and you guys the best of luck.

Ok i run the Go .25 6 port with the hong nor 2027 and it has a small hesitation on bottom too so im sure its the pipe. everywhere else in the rpms its AWESOME other than that. I run that in my jammin x2 truggy and with that pipe is supposed to be good on top and mid kinda like a jp2 i will be testing another pipe this weekend and will let you know what happens with it later will g

Sounds perfectly fine ! Dont worry about your temps , if the engine runs happy then its a good tune .. If you notice the engine dosent like it when its richer ... We run those engines on as low as 10% nitro and get awesome performance on .3 head shimming

We stock all of them here, they are lethal and good for the price.
As far as testing since last season, the outcome so far was as follows:
3PT was lethal on tight short track layout, it out maneuvered any other engine on track when it came to corners, simply lethal. 13T on 48 gearing,
Track was no longer then 320ft.
Temps were tagged on 220 to 235 with 30% nitro on Go cold plug.
Straights were good.
5PT was just as lethal , same gearing / fuel and track.
Temps were much lower, larger sweeping corners were real nice, tight turns and short burst jumps were good but not as good as the 3PT, straight was much better then the 3PT. Could be a gearing choice here or clutch setup.
7PT was real fast, power curve felt like it had some exponential in it, but the sweeping turns and straights are lethal. Still need more testing most likely this season on the new track which is 1700FT long.
All engines were tested on same car same fuel same gearing different days, temps varied a little but nothing major.
Just a note, all the go engines liked a combination of carbon and steel on the clutch.
Go pipe and header were used as well, restrictors were mid sized for all the engines.
These are just our observations here, then again, there way to many variables.
At the end of the day, who can beat them in price quality and performance.

Hi All,
Can someone please tell me what 21 size engine out of the GO engines has the same power (Bottom & Top End) as the Novarossi P5T engines?
I'm after an engine that has the same power band as a NR 5PT
.
Thanks for all your help
