Because they are the best motors out there!

Like my dad said, my motors ran really good at the X games; the .25 is really good in the truggy, lots of power but not too much. The 5 port is probably the best motor I have ever ran in buggy, very reliable so far.

I think Russell doesn't put his number on the website so everyone in the country doesn't call him. If you need to order a motor or parts there are lots of dealers on this board, Brain at Pro Twister and I sell Go's.

Did you Guy's see Neobuggy? Kendall's pic from the X-games is on there, you can see his 5 port in the pic!

whats the best pipe for the r-spec? i tried a dynamite 007, 053 and jp-4 and the jp seemed to produce best power and fuel economy. all of a sudden in the main the tune was off by about 1/4 turn, may have just been the fuel line. before that tho it was ballistic with the jp-4. very impressed so far. also ran a p8 plug.

I have been told the JP's do not run well on GO's. I had a JP-1 on my R-spec and it sucked. Made NO power at all and I would get smoked on the tracks. All I did was change to a GO 0801 pipe and without any needle changes at all the thing screamed. Do not know why but ever since it has been awesome.

One of my customers is running a Jp3 on the 3 port race and it looks really good with it. He makes some jump sections others have trouble with. I really like the 0801 performance but it gets dinged up really easily, make sure you use a stinger guard.

maybe it was just my JP-1 and the others might be ok. The other 2 people I know of were running JP-1's too that had problems so maybe its that Jammin pipe??

You may like to try the GO 2047 with a longer header (the header off the 0801 is a good length). The 2047 is a good high end pipe (little more top end then the 0801) and the longer header helps the bottom end come to life.
Running this on my 7 port and it pulls real smooth from bottom to top. Should work similarly on the 3 Port R I would think.

grizz, whats off-the-mark accelleration like with the 7 port. is it quick to speed for those big jumps that don't give much room for run-up.

have you compared it to a 5 port.

A lot of people think the 7 Port is purely a top end engine, but this is not the case. The 7 Port has heaps of bottom end, it just comes on a little smoother then the 5 Port does. Geared properly and running alloy shoes with 1.1 mm springs the 7 Port launches pretty hard. Most people that run the 7 Ports really like them. They are the underated model in the GO line up. For buggy they are awesome. Plenty of low down power for a buggy with top end to burn.
If you are looking for absolute off the mark grunt then it's pretty hard to beat the 5 Port with 13T bell and the same clutch set up as above and the new 0801 pipe. I don't think there would be too many .21 engines out there that would out grunt the 5 Port out of a corner with this set up. I personally think the 7 Port is an easier drive. It has plenty of grunt for jumps and tight tracks.

I am talking standard motors here. Once modded it's all a bit different depending on what sort of mods you have done.

Ran my .25 Go in a truggy on the weekend and it ran great.
Something I noticed at the end of the 6 minute heats was there was a slight hesitation on stand still to take off, as though there was a delay of fuel going to the carb for a split second.
The tune was perfect, 3 second pinch test and good trail of smoke on the top end. Temps around the 115c or 230f range. Motor has done 3 litres of fuel (3/4 of a gallon).
I can't work out what could be causing the hesitation.
Any ideas?
Thanks
