Not worried about the friction shocks at this time.
I will be sure to use foam inserts on the tires I buy.
No going fast for a while. Keeping them in the 10-15mph range for a while. That should keep breakage to a minimum and allow them to learn how to drive.

Basically I'm trying to figure out, if I only bought one version, which one would be the best from a mechanical and performance standpoint. The -RR certainly looks like the best of the "original" TT-02 design, but maybe the -SR version is more like a higher-end touring car? I honestly have no idea, I've never built a TT-02 of any kind before.

Are any of the hop-ups added to the -SR version the same as the hop-ups added to the -RR version?

Hello all !
I want to upgrade my TT02 with a brushless motor. I'm a little beat lost... What type of motor is suitable to have a good level of performance on a track without destroying the tansmission (8.5T, 10.5T ?) ?
Thanx

8.5-13.5 you’re looking at mod racing.
I would stick to stock level motors.
