I too am leaning toward the Mito and I will be ordering a motor next week. I also took your advise on buying a new piston and sleeve for the Keepon motor I have 17 tanks through it starting move to a race tune.

Everything I have been told the LegendR .12 is better than either the Mito or Vir-Tus. I was told the Mito lacks bottom end.

Can someone tell me something about this motor.....
It's a Novarossi ....it says "2000 3.5" ....
I was told that it was a Jp modified but it doesn't say "Jp" anywhere on it.....but it does have a serial # engraved into it.....
Any info would be appreciated!!
Here are a couple of pics....
Thanks

That is old!
The race in a Nova2000 crankcase. From what I know it has a square bore x stroke, so 16.4 x 16.4. It is from the begin 90's I think arround 1994. It is a 7 port engine.
And probably it has a 4.9mm crankpin while most onroad models today are 5mm.

Dan or anyone else I received my Mito motor, and started the break in pdocess.
What I noticed is this motor has a lot less pinch then my keepon or even my legend motor did when those motors were new. The mito has less pinch then my keepon with a half gallon has been run through it.
So with less pinch does that speed the break in process up?

keep the running process the same as you've always done. Take it steady but make sure you are getting temperature in the engine each run. It doesn't need to be crazy rich just enough to keep 10-15 degrees off the top end at this point. You'll know when its properly run in. The engine will stop going rich by itself and run consistently for the whole tank.
