053 and get a 41001 manifold........use the 41021 is your on a slippery track and use the 41001 if your on a bigger track and want more giddy up

you can pick what you want of course but when i was testing the engine when it first came out i was most happy with 9853ss 41021 , double bent headers like 41001 41019 41005 etc were a bit too much power to race with imo

hope this helps

New P5 is out. Went back to a cast piston. Has a filled crank though.

That sounds like a teamdriver engine.

i can see also that they have some done some work at the back plate like the older novas ,,different work ,.....i would like to see if they also worked litle more at porting and the volume of the crankcase, compared with the older p5 xlt

According to the part numbers its the same old p5 crankcase. The sleeve appears to be the same too. The new 85007 crank probably makes the biggest difference. I'd assume it's just a filled 15007, which would mean it has a larger bore and a little more timing than the 15009 crank the used in the older p5xlt.

What are you wanting to do with it? Zip up and down the street, or race competitively?
