We're excited about what's going on, that's all I'll say for now.

Does anybody have experience running an aftermarket capacitor with the rsx?
I understand that the stock cap works fine, but I want to use a remotely wired capacitor like the ones linked.

I searched and can't find any specs on the reedy caps, so I wanted to see if anyone out there has any experience using this brand or any other brand of remotely wired capacitors that work with the rsx.
Edit: Even though this would be total overkill, wouldnt the capacitor setup in the link below work fine?

I sent the same question to Tekin on facebook and they said they'd prefer users stick with the stock ESC cap.
...Didn't say why, and I really would like them to take more interest in the support threads of their products.

I think Tekin customer service is top notch and they do support their products. Randy Pike is a regular on this forum and always takes the time to answer questions. I would venture to guess that he has seen this post, but Tekin's policy may be to only recommend the stock cap to avoid people using incorrect caps and damaging the esc.
With that being said, I am under the impression that if I use the same 16v, I can use a capacitor that has higher uF. The stock rsx cap is 16v 330uF. For example if a cap was 16v and 6000uF, it would work fine. The higher uF would serve to further smooth out ripple voltage and have cooler esc temps. If I am understanding incorrectly, let me know please.
Hey Tekin, why not make a remotely wired capacitor as an option to purchase?

Thanks for the responses.

Correct the stock cap is 330uf and low ESR. You must have a low esr cap for that low a cap. I've seen it suggested by Tekin before if you are in a pinch to use 10k plus in lieu of the tekin stock cap.
tekin is on the forums all the time but you're never going to see them say to use someone else's product on their esc. The stock cap is small so no space reasons to run something else.. There is some arguable benefit to the huge remote cap but certainly not in most classes.

a 16V cap would be appropriate for a 3s max (as in the RSX as a fully charged 3s is around 12.6v and there needs to be some wiggle room for ripple voltage.) If you run 2s only, then you could say a 10V cap may be ok but a 16V is better.

Just installed a RSX in my buggy.
After calibrating, with the transmitter at NOR, the motor runs reversed.
When i set the transmitter at REV for calibration, esc will not calibrate properly. In REV, after the neutral chime the esc only respond to full reverse, and then full throttle last.
Is there a way to reverse throttle/brake on the esc? Couldnīt find it in the manual.
