The original hotwire will work with your RSX. Just make sure you have downloaded the latest software from our website to your computer.

Ok so I still have the issue where the advanced block and the default setting block will not allow me to click on it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled at least five times. When I click on help to see what version the Hotwire is, it says 10.4.2. I thought it was supposed to be 10.2 ?? I have windows 7 and I also have the hotwire app on my Galaxy S3...can the RSX be updated on the hotwire app? Thanks for any help.

I just ordered one of these and will have it next week. I really like the RX8 programming setup, and hope this is similar with the hot wire? I also have a HV servo, so the 7.4 will really help with my Savox 2271 servo, on a Dex410.

Win7 works just fine. There are certain types of installs of it where part of the .net framework isn't installed. We have the info to chec/sort it out on our Hotwire FAQ page.

You need to go in and delete an old "Hidden" file that the OS likes to hang onto. This is no longer an issue once you've removed it from here on out.
There's a how to video on our Youtube page "Vista how to" that lines it out, same steps but simply looks a tick different. Same idea.
You'll be set after that.

Yes the programming is the same howeverl the RSX will allow you to play with sensored only mode and boost which is RPM based timing advance and turbo (time sensitive timing advance) features which the RX8 does not have. Otherwise all the other features and the hotwire interface is identical.

Was just wondering the same thing. I'm not convinced the noise isn't causing any problems. In my B5M the clicking is amplified through the drive train. When on the stand its much louder and i can see the wheels stutter/jump/hesitate (however you want to describe it) in unison with the noise coming from the motor. That's how i noticed it, breaking in a new diff on the bench. It was so bad i thought i may have built the diff incorrectly.
