Tekin RSX Thread

I am running into the same exact thing u r talking about. There is a small yellow note that comes with the new RSX to update your Hotwire to the lasest software version.
On the website there is a lengthy page on how to update it depending on the type of widows u r running.
I no longer own a Windows computer so I have not done the update to get my Hotwire or work withe the ESC.
Please update us if you got it to work and the steps u took. Thanks

I have tried reflashing the ESC with Vegas 250 just out of curiosity and nothing changed. I can still program with my laptop which we did yesterday at the track but having the phone app sure is convenient.

Just picked up a new RSX / Redline 3.0 combo. The Android app will not work with the hotwire on the new ESC. It programs fine using the PC app. I have 4 RSpro's and a 1st gen RSX that all work perfectly fine with the phone app.
Plugging in the ESC to the hotwire turns on the ESC as normal. The phone app sees that it is plugged in but does not recognize the ESC.
This is a Gen 1 hotwire but it has worked with everything else so far and works fine on the PC. Any reason this should not work on the new RSX?

Any chance that the flat sensor cable that is showing up in the Gen3 motors is going to be available separate?
BTW- Disappointing that they are not in the Gen3 RSX combos but only in the individual motors.

Must say after using the old system that came with my RTR sc10rs to a tekin RSX with a 10.5t gen 3 motor, its like night and day when it comes to power. The hard part is getting use to all of the power

The new Hotwire Android app version now recognizes my RSX, but I'm also having the same issue where setting it to 2S results in 1S and 6.0v results in 7.4v. Re-flashing the firmware (which also restores defaults) did not solve this issue.
Does anyone know if there's a resolution? For now, I'm going to just use the Windows app, but it's so convenient to use an Android device at the track.

Performance wise, I noticed no difference. However, ESC temperature was something to keep an eye on when pushing the 13.5 motor with lots of timing to keep up with the mod guys or running the 8.5...especially is the summer time when the ambient air temp is already 90-100 degrees. With the RSX, I basically never worry about heat in the ESC.
For me it's the RSX...

Not at that level. The RSX however will run cooler due to it having a CNC Billet housing.
