Hey Guys/Gals, After last weekends racing I've decided to retire my second BTT from my buggy and start running a new mill for the next two state titles and the AUS national, but I can't decide between another BTT or to try the new Clio P5?
Leaning towards the Clio as a change is as good as a holiday.

Thanks,
M.Ellis

Default R7 rods

Hey gang and engines modders and builders

What the hell is the deal wuth R7 rods stamped 13 & 14 Spliting up the

middle

I have seen 5 YES!!! I said 5 come apart in the last YEAR

I have older rods that have little or No slop in them #11 #09 and no stamp

at all All of them have served me Well and NONE of them have split or

broke and All of them have gone thru MANY gallons of fuel with NO problems

I would think for $450 the newer nova engines would have better rods

Comments PLEASE!!! ( Oh and I always pre heat )

thanks

The same were happening at on road engines with those rods.
A line is creating in the middle that starts from the low bushing.

No more like this...
It appears to happen as a small crack in the bushing and then transfers up to the rod. I think it tends to be from a lake of preventative maintenace. THe amount of abuse these little engines go through in there lifetime is absolutly amazing!

BTW this was not my engine

Default Hmm

I have plenty of novas and I have only had one lower bushing come loose in the r7 rods and I caught it cause my engine stalled. This is in over 20 engines I've owned. Give or take a couple. It was an 11 rod.
