If your running blinky in the v20. They are a little soft. V21 blinky is now like all the mod firmwares.

On a Reventon Pro, what does solid orange and blinking red mean?

The reason I ask is that I am having some cogging issues. I have tried different sensor wires, it might he the motor.

assuming you are NOT running blinky, then it means that the ESC detected low voltage. I noticed that even if the Low Voltage cutoff is turned off it will still make the light blink. I've never felt a difference once the light blinks. It just indicates that it sensed low voltage.
Personal experience has shown that even with a full battery it doesn't take long for the light to start to blink. So maybe there is a flaw with the sensitivity in the system but like I said. I never felt a difference when the light actually started to blink vs the lap before when it didn't. I've watched it very closely because I was concerned myself.

hope that helps

Is the revention any good or should I get there club stock. I only run blinky in buggy and short course . Any any opinions on there motors. I like the prices so just want to see what's up. Thanks

I've been running the stuff since the summer of 2010. It all works really well.
The Reventon (spelled like the Lamborghini model) is a good option and if you get the R or PRO version you can easily run modified in a 2wd buggy or short course truck. The PRO will allow for mod 4wd buggy or mod touring car as well so it is simply more versatile because it allows for lower turn motors. If all you run is stock then the S or stock club ESC will work fine as well.

The MMM motors have a little more oomph and with a higher timing advance sensor board they are very competitive. A team driver did really well at the Spektrum race in stock with that setup. I think he was running the +20 degree timing board.

Awesome thanks. I think it's on MOD0, I am just getting it set up and haven't changed things yet. My motor ended up having a bad sensor board so it was causing problems.

I like the speed passion stuff I have.

that said, keep in mind that in blinky you will may need more timing board options than stock which is about $20 a board, so that can up the cost of the motor.

I hope there new motor when that comes out does away with that kind of setup.

ESC wise I have no complaints, I have used the various GT2.0 and 2.1 ESCs and now the Reventon Club Spec and have been happy with all of them.

If you are running mainly blinky and what an expandable ESC toward mod (basically you don't need the latest and great software for boosting a stock motor) The Speed Passion GT2.1 Pro Stock is selling direct from speedpower at about $55 right now.

That is one great price for a very powerful ESC that can do modified motors easily with the right software on it. Just get the lCD programmer and your set.

For me personally, if the ESC doesn't have to be a true no timing ESC, I would give that a look for the money.
