SP Motors are the best value in the industry if you ask me.

I went with the v3 7.5 and it's beastly powerful. So much so even turning down timing on my ESC wasn't enough. Ended up winning a V3 8.5 so I installed that one instead and now with the same turned down timing I can handle my 4.2 considerably better.

I have a very expensive Orion in my 410 and the SP V3 7.5 is on a similar level all around. The only Motors I've seen that are a bit superior to most are the Reedy motors and those only by a little bit and the other are the LRP Motors. Those Motors are either incorrectly labeled or they're paying off ROAR to get approvals on the said winds on the cans. LOL

I have an x12 9.5 in my T4.1 powered by the Reventon R and it's just as fast and powerful as my Reventon Pro 1.1 pushing the v3 7.5. I have a buddy who is a sponsored pro driver and he was like what's in this thing?!?!?? When I told him he was like no way, it's too fast and had to have a look. LOL

But yeah, 7.5 is something you should only look into if you're on a semi Pro level and if not I'd suggest either a 10.5 or 9.5 at the most until you master it and then make the jump to the 7.5 v3. The TQ guys at my 2 local tracks are all running 10.5 or 9.5 and it makes a world of difference. They all tell me Slow and steady = Fast.

I uninstalled everyting and re-installed then was able to get the LCD CARD updated...

But it does not matter what I do I can not get the Software to recognize that the ESC is connected. I did everything as asked, everything connected in sequence and it says connecting to PC, ESC is orange and Softweare just shows PINK at the bottom - Connect ESC

This is extremely frustrating as I have spend more time trying to update this ESC than I did buying all my gear and building my kit..

I am very tired of this whole process and dont see why any consumer would want to go through this kind of frustration for a hobby.

If this is not resolved ASAP I wont hesitate to buy one of the larger companies ESC's and leave this cr*p behind. So far its been a huge waste of time and money buying this REventon 1.1

Are you sure you have the ESC connections in the correct orientation?

This sounds simple, but is the fan unplugged from the ESC? If so the software will not recognize it the ESC connected.

I have seen on some PCs/Windows boxes that using a different USB port will help as well. For some reason Windows sometimes keep some kind of setting on the port even after the software has been installed/reinstalled.

PM me and we can figure something out.

Thanks for the info. If i remember you are right and after i stoped for couple of minutes i drove some more.
Here is the setup :

anyone with experience with the Blaze motor in an e-truggy?

my reventon pros are freakin' awesome and i'd like to stay with SP for ease of programming but i just noticed that the 1800kv Blaze motor is sensorless...but marketed as having zero (minimal) cogging.

how is that possible? is it physically possible to have a sensorless motor not cog?

What color is the cable between the card and esc. All black? What socket are you in on the lcd box?

Sometimes I make a mistake with the signal wire backwards or in the wrong place. It generates the same scenario. Does the lcd communicate with the esc independently?

I have loaded it and v20 vs v21 the later is smoother and 0 cogging (which I had a little of in my 4wd)

This was what Solara replied to me with in a PM

"The new reventon software V21 says that the Stock 0 Blinky Firmware is now V21 and roar approved. What improvements does V21 have over V20 which I am currently running. I can't seem to find much on it.

-

Not much...just alot of little stuff like brake point, max brake, launch cogging issue fixed...and some other area of cogging fixed.....no timing is no timing, it is not going to be much change about it but we will make it better

Please use V21 from now on...

Howard"

I'm looking for a motor/esc set up in my B44.2 and I'd like to stick with Speed Passion. I'm looking at the Reventon Pro 1.1 or 1.1EX. Are there any benefits one has over the other? What motor would be suggested? Most guys at the local track run 6.5 but I'm new to 4wd buggy and usually run 17.5 blinky in 2wd. Just looking for some good input. I'd usually look this up myself on the Speed Passion website but it doesn't seem to be loading for me at work.

I haven't tried the 1.1 yet and 6.5 is way to much motor for me. I run a Reventon Pro and V3 8.5 in my B-MAX4 (and previously my XB4). I personally am quite happy with this combination.

Sensorless racing is actually very popular in some parts of Asian. So it is being done successfully on many levels.

The EX has the added benefit that your could run 1cell with it if you decide to run 1/12th scale. But in general the Pro 1.1 would be fine.

For most a 7.5-10.5T are great motors to run in 4WD Buggy. If you can handle the power delivery then 5.5 and 6.5T

-Ahahahhahhaha.

After 2 months of use, the Reventon Pro smoked and injured only my deans connector! Didn't know the reason, i never had bash it, only asphalt speed runs...no jumps either!

Yesterday after 3months i bashed her for 1 minute softly and suddendly she stop... i thought, allright the baterys are over... they were in storage mode for 1month!

Grab the car in my hand and noticed smoked come from the shell... hurry up and disconnected the lipos!

It was the ESC that smoked. Then i opened it and i guess it started on the fets and melted all around including case plastic....

Got myself now on the market for a solid company then!
For not even an year and maybe 10 runs times...

Never go back to this brand.... which i thought it was good from racers and so on...crap!

For not even an year and maybe 10 runs times... China is degrading the world! Things should last 10years not 10days!

I would use the EX because the color BLACK is actually FASTER...

It is actually the same between the 2 except EX can run on 1 cell...but EX does not come with LCD programmer card just to save some cost and most ppl that use EX already has the 1.1 or 1.0 before so they have the LCD programmer already.
