If you look at last weeks Reedy race, LRP Orion Tekin and Speed PAssion were the top names i say, Actually LRP and SP were the 2 common iI saw, Especially when Associated would show a FB post of the top 3 qualifiers, I saw the Sp name in the top 3 a few times, Never even say the name Hobby Wing. SP actually has some titles and i think On road World champ?

In the 4wd SC discussion... did i miss information about using something like a 4.5 550 on a Rev pro, or is no one running that anymore? All 4 pole pro4 stuff.

Hi all, I've bought the Reventor R combo with 10.5T motor and i tried to connect the LED program card to PC but unable to detect by the Reventon PC interface, but when I update the firmware, my PC can detect it and upgrade is successful. The steps I connect to PC is

Install Reventon R PC interface > Checked USB Driver is installed > Unplug fan from ESC > Lipo battery is disconnected from ESC > Connect ESC to program card > Connect USB cable to PC, but the PC interface is not detecting my program card, it shows "Please connect to the ESC"

Kindly advice, Thanks

Just looked through the "under the hood" pictures from the 2013 Reedy race, and no one is using the Reventon Pro.. They are all using the older 2.0 esc (Hobbywing V2.1).
Anyone know why?

I've figured it out that the motor need to be unplugged as well, now my PC can detect the led program card finally

You can use a 4.5 550 pole motor on the Reventon Pro. My buddy does this. Based on what we discussed with Solara the problem they were having when trying to use 4 pole motors was they were trying to do it using boost etc. This is not something recommended to do by tekin which is probably why things were not working.

I am assuming that future testing with 540 4 pole motors will use blinky or MOD software with no timing options turned on and have zero issues.

As perspective, the GT2.0 Pro that I use with my Pro4 4600Kv and previous 4000K was without ANY BOOST. At most, I used 5 degrees of turbo timing but that's it on the 4000kv motor to get more top end since that is when that kicks in. I also went down in gearing as well.

I like the feel of the Gt 2.0 myself. I have three reve pros but the gt has a better feel imo.

Default Reventon Pro

what are people's opinion? i am running STOCK 0 and STOCK 1 with my reventon depending on the race. as a general rule of thumb, how many teeth should one drop on their pinion size to run boost/and excessive timing? heat doesn't seem to be the issue as the motor/esc don't seem to reach excessive heat levels. what i do notice is the lag coming out of the corners with the larger pinions. Anyone want to suggest?

I also have gone back to my GT 2.0 and 2.1 ESC's
I need to be able to run 4 pole 540 motors in my 4x4 and in my buggy the Gt series just felt better too.

Default Rev pro great... My luck, lousy!

First trophy race in a dozen years. This ESC was flawless!

After a rough start (lost equipment that showed up next day and blown idler gear) I managed a 2nd Plc c-main Finnish and 5th in the B. wasn't too far off pace with a new layout and all the difficulties of the day.
Solara, thank you for the clarification that my settings work well.
It's my pleasure to provide input! Great product and support.

The pro4 will work in Mod2 settings. Just NO boost.. Ever!
Don't need on these motors anyway!!

Have fun gents!

Sal

no sure but pictures speak for their selves..even hara uses the gt series, and he is not under contract with no one,and he could have chosen anything.. i also think the reventon pro is larger

Anybody test or have info on what's the best high torque rotor to put in the 17.5 MMM's. Planning on running blinky in RB6 and RT5. There's quite a bit rotors on the site.

Would you mind trying connect ABC pin to Motor but without sensor cable then connect ESC to PC?
