Hey S.TRIPP77, I'm running a Revention Pro 1.1 in my TLR SCTE-TEN 2.0. With a Blaze 5700 KV motor. I had no problems with it. I had it in my TLR for a year now.
I run the latest software from Speed Passion website. Speed Passion Revention PC interface V1.1.0.25
I have modified 2 setup in my ESC.

Will swapping a Reventon R out for a 1.1 Pro ESC, provide anything additional in terms of power... if both are run in blinky? I currently run an R with a 17.5 v3 in my B5M, however after 5 weeks of consistent, identical lap times... I need to make up an extra lap in a 5 minute qualifier. Same cars, tires, and racing lines... and I am consistently running one lap down to my friend, and my lap times are near identical each lap. He has a Tekin Rs Gen2 with a D4.5. During practice, I can see when we run close... his car is just plain faster in the mid range sections, from corner to corner in the short bursts. I am running 71/33 with 20* timing, DDRS at 9 and I installed and properly shimmed a Trinity 12.5 HT rotor. Temps are in the 135-140 range and top speed is close.
will putting my 1.1 get me anything extra? thanks!

The Pro 1.1 is a better and higher rated ESC for sure, but it doesn't mean the R is a slouch by any means. You could benefit from it, but I wouldn't just automatically say you will find 1 lap.
This weekend one of our drivers had an issue with his Pro 1.1, so he bought a Reventon S on site at the track. He was still able to keep pace with the winner and took 2nd in 17.5 buggy only 2 secs behind. His hotlap was only .3 off the race winners. Chris S. (also running a Speed Passion) won the race with 17 laps. Chad P. was 2nd with that Reventon S. I am pretty sure Chris was running his 1.0 or 1.1 ESC. I think you race at Trackside in WI? Chris S. made the podium in 2WD buggy at Spektrum so for sure he's no slouch and Chad kept pace with.
The gain could come from the 1.1 being smoother and able to handle braking with the better FETs. The amp rating is higher as well.
Before you spend your money try this...
In your Speed Passion motor run the red board max to the right. Maybe turn down drag brake or use none at all, go lower on DDRS if traction isn't high.

Thanks, I will try the red timing board. He drove my car and said compared to his, it is a bit soft on torque when coming through the short sections. He ran the same times I did, almost to the tenth. We run the same tires, cars and mods... pretty much share our set ups as well. The Red timing board is a good point, and I will take a look to make sure my expo isn't turned up in the TX... as I had to take away some power from my SP 1.1 and 7.5 turn wheeler, which has way too much power lol. I'm thinking that may not be profile specific in my TX and I may be at 85% in 17.5 as well, which would definitely hurt. Thanks for the help!

I've been using this myself and feel it has a better feel in tight sections than the higher timing and green board did with no loss of top end.

Red RC reports on the annual Christmas round of the Mibosport Cup. RC Speed Passion's Michal Orlowski would go on to TQ and win Modified 2WD Buggy. Showing his versatility, he also made the podium in Modified Touring car.

Just picked up a used HPI WR8 with a Speed Passion GT2.0 Carbon Black esc in it. Having trouble finding a program box for it.
Will this one work?

Are there any other options for programming? wifi,bluetooth,etc...
Thank you.

Unfortunately NO. The GT 2.0 can't be upgraded to accept the Bluetooth, as the software profiles are different.
HOWEVER, the box you listed CAN be updated to work with the GT series ESCs. I myself have updated mine and it works great. allows for better tuning than the std. box.
