I was using hole #3 which is 2nd in from the outside but I did not end up using the innermost hole on the arm because the screw on the steering block that holds the pivot ball came down to far and snagged on the arm. I could probably use a spacer but even the nylon bold scrapes a bit even without the screw sticking through.
Put your shocks in the center hole and then set the droop screws so they are touching the chassis. Then move your shocks to the inner hole. The droop should not change. The overall shock length with the shocks on the inner hole will be shorter than it is with the shock in the center hole, but the droop at the wheel will be the same and there should be no difference in how it rubs the arm.
The bad part about setting droop with shock length is you have no reference when you change the shock locations on the arm or the tower.

The droop won't change if you do the way I explained. The shock length will be different but the droop at the wheel will be the same which is what matters.
moving the shock position to be inner hole on the arm without using the droops screws will increase the droop at the wheel.
shock length has nothing to do with droop except that it's convenient way to measure it. It's convenient until you move the shock positions then you have no way of referencing the actual droop at the wheel From position to position.

I have the first gen tekno eb 48 with a tekin rx8, tekin 2250kv motor and hitec 7955tg servo. Perfect setup. Don't get me wrong hobby wing is okay, but tekin out of warranty service is super! customer service is also great with tekin

Any chance of producing as an option of titanium turnbuckles for camber , steering !
Also why not make the front hubs outer bearings the same size as the rear hubs outer bearing size
This way when replacing bearings in all hubs you only need 2 different sizes not 3 when considering the inner bearings on hubs are same size all round
Less parts in tool box!!
Can you guys update the front diff bulkhead to be able to hold the same bearing size the rear updated bulkhead !!
Again less bearings in tool box
Can you guys also in your up and coming new setup sheet also provide a how to do with pictures on the latest tuning options mentioned by Danny!!
Would make it easier to understand for novice guys

Point being, im sure they appreciate the feedback but don't be upset if it doesn't happen, companies have to stick to their key competencies to survive, leave the titanium to lunsford

I think it comes down to how much you value on the warranty versus price. That is part of the reason initially I went with a Speed Passion Silver Arrow 2. Very good ESC for 1/8 buggy and at the time were about $75 each. Considering the cost of an out of warranty replacement for tekin was more than buying a new Silver Arrow, I kept with that till Viper VTX8s went on sale at amain.
I have been pleasantly surprised with the build quality, features, and service from Viper enough that I bought some more VTX8s, sold my SAV2. For the money, I feel you get a lot of ESC from Viper and you have a long warranty, 6 months. I also like the fact the ESC can be had with a hand held programmer and allows saving of setting profiles.
As it sits now, if I was considering Tekin's RX8 Gen2, I would also consider Vipers VTX8 and compare specs and go with what fits your budget and needs best. I think you can't go wrong with either ESC.

Completely agree, tekin and hobbywing are comparable technology wise but in regards to service and warranty, Tekin far exceeds HW. Also important to mention is that all the people who complain of "fried" tekins are 90% user error over gearing or not using proper ventilation or fans etc... that being said Tekin will still replace it even if its ur own dumb mistake. HW may be cheaper but good luck getting a replacement even if you know Japanese or Korean or wherever they come from.
I have been given TREMENDOUS support by HobbyWing of North America (HWNA) (www.falconsekido.com). They're in California, the same state as Tekin. I think if you call Tekin and start talking Japanese or Korean they'll look at you real funny. If you call HWNA, you can talk to them in English and probably Japanese too (depending on who you talk to). Support included very timely communication in perfect English, parts support, discounts on new purchases for being a repeat customer (I am not sponsored by HWNA), and technical support. Technical support is also offered on this Forum.
From experience, I think Tekin gives you GREAT support. I've had one Tekin ESC and had to get it repaired. I have over 8 HobbyWing ESCs and have yet to need a single electronics repair.
In terms of warranty, HWNA gives you 180 days, Tekin gives you 120.

(I also didn't like having to buy and bring a laptop and a hotwire interface to the track with me when I had a Tekin....)
