With the smoother powerband I actually get faster, more controllable acceleration. The higher RPM yields enough extra speed to be noticeable quicker. Braking is still good with the same settings and perhaps just a bit smoother as well. Temps are still low, too.

I wasn't unhappy before, but now my SC10 has more pep without the need for a new lower turn mod motor. This is one of the best and simplest upgrades I've ever done. Definitely worth the cost and effort. Thanks Viper!
interesting. its amazing what a little difference magnet makes in performance!

Thanks because the description on a main doesn't mention the copperheads working with the ezlink.

Want to thank Viper for its great customer service. Had a motor issue and they took care of it under warranty. I have been racing RC for 20 years and dealt with many companies. The service was super smooth and fast. They have a long time customer in me. Plus the stuff is fast!

Had a chance to run the Pro9 for the first time. What it does is offer you a bit more low end grunt. I was able to consistently clear jumps that I wasn't able to do 2 weeks ago. These are the tricky double out of a corner style jumps where low end power delivery has to be spot on and smooth.

They say that numbers don't lie. Well my fast lap went from 26.7 to 25.6. From what I can gather, everyone was about half a second faster due to the better track conditions. Take that away from my 1.1 and I'm still .6 seconds faster! Overall laps was about the same but it was more due to me actually getting tangled up with cars I was lapping (for a change!).

So my initial day of testing the Pro9 was positive. I am going to continue to give reports and feedback as I do more testing. I was running a test firmware so my ESC settings won't be relevant. I'll reload A61 (current production firmware) for the next time out so I can get you guys a setup for that.

would you recommend the pro9 or pro6 for 17.5 Stock Racers?
do you think it would make a difference in power?
or would it just be adding weight?

Pro6 for sure. The weight gain is negligible. I will definitely have one on my car come indoor season because in 17.5, every ounce of power is important

Help! lol i purchased a copperhead 3900 system online. i ran it in five 5 minute races with no problems. since it was new and first few times i ran it i checked to see if any heating up and both motor and esc were very cool. i could hold hand on motor for 3 secs or longer. my last race it was running perfect, race ended i picked the car up and turned off esc. I recharged battery for next race and installed it. plugged battery in and tried to turn on system, nothing? i tried several times it would not come on. i tried 3 other batteries still nothing. when i push on button red power led lights up and so does nuet led when i let off of button they both go back out with 2 seconds. i have a friend who has a couple of the same systems and has the pro guage. he took it home and hooked it up said it wouldnt read. car Anza Slash, battery venom 5000mah 50c 2s, g/r 19/86 late model body on oval track. i dont have cant find the reciept, what are my options thank you

I installed a brand new VTX-10R BE and 10.5T Viper motor in my 22SCT. Things were fine, it powered on and I calibrated it and set the ESC to profile 1, and drove the truck around the house a little on a partially charged battery for a minute or two. I installed a freshly charged battery with the intention of adjusting the diff and slipper. The truck powered on just fine, I set steering trim, adjusted the slipper, and drove it across the floor and as I was turning around to come back the ESC shut off and now it won't turn back on. All solder connections are good, and there are no shorts.

Any guesses, beyond RMA'ing it? I've had running for about 10 minutes before it quit...

check the sensor wire?
recalibrate the ESC and the Radio. sometimes that helps. try a different battery?
