+1. I run the t8 1900 and I run 80% for now on these tight indoor tracks. And your 2050 rips! Def test it out, your lap times will get better.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Theoretically, can I turn off the current limit and then use my radio's EPA to limit throttle? It should pretty much be the same thing, right? In my SC, I set the ESC to 70% and I would use my EPA to fine tune to wherever I was driving. Well, why not just set the ESC to full power and do the same thing? It sure would make it easier to make adjustments and be able to run it all out if I wanted to play out in the open.

And yes, the 2050 all out rips! I'm very happy I went with this combo.

Just use your epa setting on your radio to adjust speed fast and simple.

I haven't been to motorama before, just started racing in August. Now I have fallen in like a heroin addiction but loving it. Lol. All the local pros around me who went last year said the track doesn't get much maintenance throughout the weekend and its much like an outdoor track, loose and dusty. Everyone I have talked to has said to use larger pins like blockades or revolvers, holeshots. I'm bringing a variety... Just wasn't sure anyone had been last year a had a serpent setup.

I have never been but if those tires work try hybrids or 3d's. I really like them both on my local track. And revolvers blockades work as well.

Thanks. What are you running for shock oil out there? . I'm still running stock weight with webbed bladders. Seems a little light for the indoor packed tracks(body roll) up here. But for outdoor and motorama loose type tracks I think it will be ok? Suggestions? Thanks

No but i just added the 2.0 upgrade kit to my cart and will order today. What about springs and oil. There is the v2 springs I saw but not sure what to run ?

Motorama tires that should work are gridirons, impacts, subcultures, hybrids, blockades, and anything else similar. I ran all Super soft last year. Track is pretty loose and gets blown out. But I did see guys running everything from HB Beams to Proline Badlands!

If you do not over tighten the plastic screws they work fine. I'm 2 years into my plastic nuts and have stripped only one of the 12 in there. But, I mean screw till it stops then no more or if you must 1/8th of a turn more. Any more and yes you will be part of the stripped nut club.

Don't waste your money on Ceramics. Bearings are $1 each just get some Avid revolutions every few months and toss old ones. You are likely to shatter ceramics especially if you use them in your hubs. But try if you want, you'll see.

Screws lock the esc to the chassis so every bump and vibration gets reverberated thru the esc, do you want that? Big crashes will allow for no give and can crack the esc case too. Use servo tape or Velco to allow a cushion between the esc and the car. The fit is so tight and nudged in the corner there it is not going to go anywhere, even if it pops off. I run Velcro and there and the ESC has not moved a cm in 2 years of racing.

Yes, buy the Ebuggy and keep your nitro running, unless your strapped for cash and only want 1 class.

Turn the limiter off, its more of a punch control than speed reducer. It softens the umph of all that torque and rpm. Which may be what you are going for but I'd use your EPA if you want to tame down the whole throttle band.

You can use the EPA to adjust the over all curve of down on speed. The manufacturers usually tell you not to do that though. Those ESCs are made to want a certain C rating for the given motors and batteries and turning the EPA down too much changes the watts that are involved in normal operation. Its kinda like a car that requires 97 Octane and you put a low octane like 77. You will get knocking and the motors were not designed for that. So, then you are left with going down in pinion to adjust for speed but then you have alot of wheel spin with all the torque. I'm not even factoring in battery weight and tire compound into the equation. After awhile it can be a balancing act on what to do. If you do use EPA try to keep adjustments down to about 15% or less of max and get the right motor for the application.
