Anything else change from the last time your ran? New track layout, is it slicker than before, where you getting more wheelspin, driving more aggressive, felt like your rear tires were worn out? Lots of things could add hear or even make it run cooler. There is no magic bullet for setups - its always moving target. But when you hit the target - everything is perfect!!

Sorry, I missed your question - It has a separate plug for the programming. Check your PM and let me know.

Though we try to stay on top of the R/C Tech thread, it really isn't the official point of contact for Viper Service.
Send a email to [email protected] and reference that RMA# and you should get an answer quickly.

Maybe the forum is a faster way to communicate with Viper ...

Those of us who answer questions in the forum are different from those who complete the RMA work - everyone has their roles (and they are multiple roles).....
PM me your email address and I will send over any update info I can get for you.

I have been racing the Vipers with no issues for months now but this past weekend I had an issue arise that kind of worried me a bit. The 17.5 in my buggy and 8.5 in my short course were getting extremely hot. 190-200. I have made no chages to the ESC or anything and when I raced last the temp outside was hotter than it was this weekend. ESC temp were 115-120. normal for when outside temp is 85-90 degrees. The motors last ime out were 135-150 and they climbed quite a bit and was just wondering what the casue maybe. Any insight would be great. Thanks

Well I was racing tonight with my Copperhead VX4.39 motor and ESC on my XXX-SCT, running low 140 temps, went over a jump and pow, it dies. I cant power up the ESC at all. I was at the local track and everyone looked at it and couldn't find any inital problems like loose connections, etc.
The ESC sometimes will show a faint red light then quickly fade after about 3 seconds from pushing the ESC power button. Has the ESC died? Do I need to send the motor and ESC back to Viper?
Anyone else have this problem? I tried everything I know anlong with the experts at the track. Everyone was stumped. Its really wierd it would just up and quit and never turn on again.

I'm running my 2wd buggy at 7V right now. No issues yet, but I haven't dropped below 7V. I got an answer about this a few pages back, someone (who wasn't a viper employee?) said the bec will just cut out/servo stop working once the lipo voltage falls below. I was hoping it had an integrated booster like the VTX1 did...
I'm of two minds with this atm. My servo is fast enough (one of those ones rated at around 0.1) so an increase of 1V might only drop it to 0.08, which probably isn't that noticeable, plus I'm a bit dubious about servo speed ratings anyhow.

Sorry guys, but, I obviously do not have the proper size socket for the rear wheel nut. Yes, the one that holds the tire/wheel onto the axle. PLEASE tell me what size socket I need and does it need to be deep-well?
TIA

I haven't changed anything in my vehicles since the last race. The ambient temp outside was actually cooler this past weekend vs the one before. The track was looser but no one else saw a temp rise that I did. I will check for binding in the drivetrain but I don't think I had any. I will check for bearing failure as well. Everything is torn apart so a thorough check is in order. Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it.
