Strange- did you buy it new? It should be at least at 30 degrees.

Getloose, have you checked all your radio endpoints, expo settings and re-calibrated the esc afterwords. A lot of times radio profiles play a big part. I have a 9.5 and 10.5 in my 2wd truck and they run very fast. I have not even messed with the boost profiles. Only blinky.

I'm going to reset everything tonight and see f it was a programming error on my part. I hope so. its a brand new replacement motor direct from viper.

if my radio throttle travel goes to 150% should I have it all the way up to 150 when setting the esc throttle profile?

Set your endpoints at 100. Then follow the programming steps. Its possible that if they are set at 150, you will not reach full throttle or full brake.

Just getting back into off road, have a VTX10 in my 2wd buggy with a Reedy Sonic 10.5t motor. Any suggestions for settings for this combo?

Thanks

For throttle - probably middle of the road - 9600 for Freq, punch and power depending on the traction level of your track. Set the brake strength so you don't lock the rears up too hard - I normally set the esc to 90% and fine tune with the EPA on the radio. It really depends on your driving style and what you like - don't be afraid to experiment, everyone is a little different.

oh - and get a Viper VST motor!!!! (just kidding - sort of).

9.5 2wd Mod Buggy Setup

This is the setup that Paul Sinclair gave me and I tweaked it a bit to suit my preferences for a 9.5, but that should get you in the ball park. If you may need to increase the pinion size as well. The 21t was a bit too small for some other tracks I attended, so adjust accordingly.

Hi guys.

Sometime last week I lost my progauge cable. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Just need the one that connects the ESC to the progauge.

I would double check the basics, like make sure your EPA on your radio is set at 100% for throttle and brake, and do a re-calibration. Then make sure the sensor wire and all your solder connections are good.

If there is still a problem the ESC might need to be sent in.

Im thinking of going to these brand of speed controls.
Alot of Tekin guys here have switched to the Viper Copperhead systems.
In order to keep up with them I think it's natural to switch over.

Default Questions

Just got my first VTX10 and I have a couple questions.

#1 When I do the radio calibration I have the TX on, battery plugged in, speedo off. I hold the red button until it beeps (like 4+ seconds) if I only hold it for 3 sec it just appears to turn on. I then hold full throttle and push the red button. It beeps like it should. I then hold full reverse and push the red button again and nothing appears to happen. It does seem to be calibrated though. I have full throttle and brakes. All of my end points are at 100%. I know I am probably just missing something stupid. I wish there was a video of showing this process. I am on A30 software.

#2 What frequency is recommended for throttle and brakes for a 7.5, 8.5 and 9.5 on the A30 software?
