Running my buggy with tire sauce for the first time tonight, front hex conversion is flawless,so far I'm a sec off tq out of 24 drivers, gets better everytime I drive it,also 1.5 pads behind the shorty really gave me more rear traction with out sacrificing front traction.car is dialed, hopefully I can pull it off in the main

Dunno if its been mentioned... how much does the AVID steering rack weigh?

EDIT: 10g - 3g heavier than stock.

tmrw is the east coast trophy race at island raceway, track has been weird and i am killing myself setting it up. My 4wd is dailed but I'm going back to base setup for my car and trying some proline m4 suburbs, glad we have guys trying so many things.

wish me luck lol! sometimes grip can be good or bad, right now zip free is great.

ran my b4.1 we today and love this car. its dialed and finally got the off power push out of it. we are running slicks in the front and green bacodes in the rear. had radio issues (steering was not recentering).
but, i shattered 3 ball cups today (all ae). i installed the jconcepts but to me they were worse than the ae ball cupps. so my question is i am going to order rpm ball cupps and was wondering if the 4-40 is the right size. the reason i ask is i ordered the 4-40 jcs and they come of when you are adjusting the turn buckle. i ran them in and out twice for the front trying to loosen them up but they still came off when i was turning them.

thanks in advance.

I run the standard RPM ones on my buggy and SC. Never had a problem with them.

Had the same issues with the stock ball Cups from AE, don't know what they changes, but they're not as good as they used to be. IMO. I've seen the JC ones used, the RPM's, and if you can find them the old white Losi XXX Ball Cups. All are better than the stock ones.

If the Ball Cup keeps popping off when trying to adjust the rod, try putting a little greese on the threads when you first put the cup on the rods, seems to help with that issue.

I usually use black grease on the threads before I put the cups on. Then I thread them to the end of the threads and back off to what they reccomend in the manual. When I pop the cups on the ball stud, I will move the tie-rod back n forth a couple of times so they are free on the ball stud.

don't over think it. Put the setup on the car that you know works for you. The track's still green. It's going to groove up quickly with all those cars on the track. Let the track come to you.

Good luck and go over and bust Mill's balls for me

Cool man,

I have had the cups pop off if I haven't moved them in a while. Not sure why, but if I can move the rod just a little bit, all is good, but sometimes if I am in a hurry and just try to wrench on them, one side will come off.

ok i am, then tires ik will work. heard these m4 suburbs are great outa bag. Have not tried greens yet. Traction is good but the track is dry right now and a slick or ghost pin does not work...

step 1 walk over to Mike Gay and see what he's running
step 2 steal his car so he can't beat you
step 3 profit
